One of my favorite chill games. I like just to get on the rocket pack ignore the agenda and fly around. It was my first taste of a real open world game as a kid and I still have a huge soft spot for it.

I wish they had kept the direction of it for the subsequent games.

can be good or bad depending on execution. trauma is a reason to treat others poorly, but not an excuse. many people seem to forget general that these days and shitty behavior tends to get glorified because of that.

the combination of a general lack of accountability in modern society, and the overall death of literary awareness is likely going to make this trope more and more unbearable as time goes on.

If I may eleaborate on your point. Trauma is a reason but not an excuse. A mitigating factor but not a free pass.

I feel like half of rpgs are like this. Broa and Brobee live in Fishamleton in the backend of Holy Republic of Mana. Evil General Morosemen secretly unleashes Ancient Evyle that dwells beneath Fishamleton to overthrow the High Crystal Priestess ruling the Republic. Town gets leveled in the process. Broa and Brobee try to save their friends and fail. They end up scarred and traumatized. Broa becomes refugee and endures hardships makes friends and overcomes his situation. Brobee joins the bad guys secretly learning and siding with Evyle, betraying Morosemen and then frying the entire planet because trauma.

Broa confronts him at the end and Brobee is sorry after losing and then dies.

Unless Brobee is really popular and he is now good in the future spinoff.

It continues to astonish me how titanfall came out of the gate as an absolutely original and kick-ass shooter that then followed itself up with one of the best single player campaigns in the genre with the sequel, and in both cases they were unceremoniously dumped right in between a Call of Duty and a Battlefield before being dropped entirely as a franchise so the developers could be directed to make another fortnite.

I had a launch xbox one. The fact it was the flagship game early on for a doomed system really hurt it I guess.

Attrition mode in 1 was like one of the coolest modes ever in a shooter.

Do they have ethics boards in which such testing would near to clear first?

I was out with a friend of mine at a brewery in the winter. His car needed jumped. I got out my Noko. Here's what's wild. His honda SUV, you couldn't even access the battery nodes with normal equipment. You had to remove some sort of plastic mountings to reach it. We had to call triple a to fix the situation. totally crazy!

Yes I have a Noko branded one.

I've never used it myself, but I've jumped strangers with it before.

I don't think anything was locked behind subsequent replays except for a specific ship that you get towards the end.

There are certain story elements or variations to the universe in subsequent playthroughs but it's not necessary to experience the game in its entirety imo. Not that I enjoyed it -_-

I stopped the moment I realized that it was meant to be replayed. I wanted to chill explore and build a base. However the fact lots of gameplay elements were locked for subsequent replays seemed to contradict the rest of the game design. So I just dropped it

I will only slightly defend Naru in so far as the show needless drags out the romance element and having her be terrible is just ez mode for status quoing thing.

But yeah a remake might be cool and grounding her would help alot. I still love the Manga art for Love Hina so seeing more would be cool.
