I enjoyed running but found lifting unbelievably boring. That and I'm not young young anymore. Working out/strengthening my core could help with my constant back pain, but I have zero energy to test that.

is Per Mille, or Per Thousand, or Per 1000. There's three zeros in the symbol, to signify that it's per 1000 vs. per 100.

Your daughter takes the initiative to be with you, sounds like no big deal that's she's daddy's little girl. If you're aiming to "balance" the relationships, I would present opportunities to your son (you may have to not take no for answer if you're hitting a wall) to gain more responsibilities that could lead to more opportunities for freedom or autonomy of his life and help him grow into a more reliable and capable man. I'd imagine something as simple as letting him park your car for you.

I sort of see my life in your kids; where my sister was the center of the household while I was just there at home. My parents put me in things but I wasn't passionate about anything so I tended to hate it.

It kind of sounds like your personal experience goes against your advice.

My eldest sister is, and always was the clear favorite. Such is life.

Tons of places already do this, depending on where you live. Manufacturing is still huge where I live, and many of those places run on constant overtime. I think it's eased up in some of the plants now, but many of them were working people 7 days a week, sometimes w/ hardly any time off at all over the course of a month.

When I was a machine operator Saturdays/6th days were 'optional'. Which is to say you caught a lot of shit if you only worked a 5day/45ish hour week
