It would take a lot of redemption to come back from bullying someone into killing themselves, so much so that I doubt many people could ever achieve it because that life you stole is never coming back. It's not enough for them to merely feel remorse over it when they grow up, they would need to put time and effort into actually atoning and trying to prevent someone else from walking down the same path they did.

Why is Biden refusing to do the regular debates? Those debates often happen way too late in the year. The first one usually happens around September, when people are usually already early voting before the first debate happens and that just seems dumb. A June and a September date is good spacing and allows for him to get his opinions out earlier. Also he's called for some good conditions which Trump agreed to, namely no audience, the inability to talk/shout over the other person while they're speaking (disabled mic), and a rejection of some commission conducting the debates, whose name I forget, which became the format in like 1988 because before then the moderators were separate from the parties and would often ask tough follow-up questions, then this commission was created by the two parties which turned it into more about protecting their candidate's appearance and trying to make them look good over what it used to be. I think even if the companies are making empty gestures the idea that society will respond positively to gestures of goodwill towards the lgbtq community is a good direction for society. Letting some whackadoos make them not make those gestures hurts the overall societal vibe imo; it sends the message that it's unsafe to express those opinions and I say fuck people who want me to think that.
