I'm glad that Engage's Somniel felt tacked on, because it meant 90% of that shit was optional and I could skip it. Aside from the actual planning I was doing for the next chapter, all I needed to do between battles was check the stores, check my ore-farming dog farm, check the well (for playthroughs beyond my 1st one when I had the DLC installed), and that's it. That's like 3 minutes at most. Obviously trimming out that fluff and going back to something simpler like the older games would be better, but if they absolutely feel the need to include that extra fluff, making it optional like in Engage is the best choice.

The Monastery stuff being mandatory and having to go a whole hour between chapters was so tedious. I only managed to beat 3H once, and every time I've tried to do another playthrough on one of the other routes, I get bored to sleep and lose interest less than 1/3 of the way into the game. Meanwhile, I've beaten Engage 4 times and still have the itch to play it more.

Fuck the Monastery, fuck 3H, and fuck this new game if it has mandatory between-battle stuff that takes nearly as long as the Monastery did.

I think Engage is the better game as well, Im just saying I liked Three Houses too \_()_/

But Im admittedly very easy to please

Prime 3 started to lean into combat over exploration and I really hope that doesnt continue here

The Monastery was fine for the White Clouds portion of your first playthrough.

But it absolutely turned into a colossal slog for all the subsequent playthroughs. It's just so much non-SRPG gameplay in an SRPG game.

I didn't like the Somniel in Engage either, but at least it was quicker.

Just give me a Tellius base-camp and I'd be happy. That is peak, in-between chapter management.

My understanding was the game was mostly written in 1999, and they still somehow predicted the current age of social media and personalized algorithms. Its kinda frightening >_>

Ive made peace with my identity. Its just hard not to think of the what ifs, ya know? Like what if I had actually gotten the support I needed as a kid? Maybe then I wouldnt have been so lonely and felt like such an outcast. I know I can live a happy life and I hope to.

I wasn't diagnosed until 32. The shitty thing is it made my life worse. Why? Because of my shitty first wife. She used my diagnosis against me, and basically said she was correct about every argument because my autism made me wrong. I actually started to believe it. My divorce was the best thing that could have happened.

Damn thats awful. Glad you got out of that. Luckily my gf has been very supportive throughout my journey of self discovery

Im honestly afraid to bring it up. My parents know about my autism and they say they love me just the same, but its hard to believe when they still support men and policies who actively wish to harm me and view me as lesser

Idk. Its been weighing on me for a while. This past year Ive done a lot of self discovery and part of that was learning Im autistic. With that revelation came a mixture of emotions. Relief, confusion, anger. Idk. It felt like I was robbed of the help I could have had when I was a child.

And now I look at my Trumper parents and realize they support a man who views me and my kind as subhuman. They love him. Supposedly they love me too, but I just dont know how those two things can be true at the same time. The Charlie Kirk thing has been an eye opener too. Ive watched so many of my loved ones clutch their pearls for a man who despised people like me and would have gladly seen me dead.

It just fucking hurts. It feels like such a betrayal. My parents want me to meet them at my grandparents place this weekend to hang out, but between them and my grandparents being hardcore Trumpers I just dont feel comfortable. I dont feel like I belong in my family anymore. Maybe I never did.

This isnt a cry for help or anything. Im fine, mods. I just needed to get my feelings out I guess
