Yeah, presuming that he'll only get better (as most 20 year old professional athletes do), his "final form" is going to be absolutely legendary.

Dude posted pretty good numbers overall but given that he only played 30 mpg for most of the season, his mature output is going to be nuts. While I don't think he will actually challenge Mark Eaton's 40 year old record for blocks in a season, I can see him making a very good run at it, all while bring his team's offensive linchpin.

I'm reminded of that episode of Drew Carey Show where Drew and his friends dressed up as characters from the show and Mimi and her group dressed up from another show(I think Les Mis or something? I forget) and they did a dance off with each other's music. I think Mimi's did a Shake Your Groove Thing while Drew and the others did the Time Warp. Very good scene. I wish that series got released all on DVD.(only the first season did, boo!)

It's one of very few scenes that I vividly remember from that show. Like, I watched a LOT of that show 20-25 years ago, but I remember very little of it in detail. They killed the shit out of that dance off, so it was pretty hard to forget lol.

edit: and yeah, the idea was that a group of Rocky Horror fans (Drew's gang) went to a midnight screening only to encounter a group of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert fans (Mimi and some random dancers) who were their for a midnight showing of their movie.

Y'all are absolutely ridiculous if you think Angel Reese is an equally prominent name to Caitlin Clark. Seriously, it makes no fucking sense whatsoever. "But...but Reese's Twitter...." isn't the reason that Clark's games have been the most watched women's basketball games (college, professional, or international) ever. That's like comparing the popularity of Charles Barkley to that of Michael Jordan. You "can" make that comparison but it's not a particularly close one, at all.

Regarding Clark's place in history, she's the most "hyped" women's basketball player since Diana Taurasi 20+ years ago. Candace Parker, Brittney Griner, Elena Delle Donne, Breanna Stewart, and Sabrina Ionescu all received considerable attention for all or most of their college basketball careers but the coverage for Clark is on a different level. Honestly, the best NBA comparison is probably LeBron James. While Clark's impact as a NCAA player didn't quite change the game like LeBron did in HS (wherein his games were weekly fare on his personal adver....erm...ESPN), it's comparable in the sense that they are both seen as "transcendent" figures who will change the way the game is viewed at the professional level. You can say what you want about LeBron's career (everybody does lol), but the hype surrounding his debut was unprecedented and I'm getting a very similar feel from the coverage of Clark on the WNBA side.

He invalidated Fred and Velma while (the "face" and the clue master, respectively) while often serving in Daphne's distressed damsel capacity....without any of their charm.

I don't think he's the worst character in the franchise (hey, remember Scooby Dum? I do, unfortunately) but his hatred is well deserved by fans of the original series. People who grew up with his iteration of the franchise are probably more forgiving about him. I more or less grew up with both and liked the original series much better, even with its trademark jankiness.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Knicks make a surprise run to the title, and it would be outright amazing if Minnesota or the Clippers made their first Finals appearance, but I really have no rooting interest.

The music was my favorite part of the original series.

I don't know who the fuck this new guy is or why I should be impressed at his name but it's depressing that they gutted my favorite part of the original adaptation.
