This is definitely harder than HK pre-Hornet 1 right away at least.

But honestly HK was never that hard outside of a few bosses. Platforming especially was largely trivial, and so far that's maybe less the case here.

I liked it well enough, but ultimately a tactical RPG where the primary strategy is to make sure the enemy never gets a turn is kinda not great. Also basically requiring at least some grinding just to get through the story sucks.

I think I saw this series is on 7? No one ever talks about them. I played 3 as well and I think the story progression was a little better? But it had an actual defensive class and I recall that solving nothing. It just survives the longest if you don't kill fast enough. But then that one was MTX hell too so I just decided it wasn't worth it.

There aren't even review copies for this game, so as long as youre playing it at release then spoilers shouldn't really be an issue.

You can just tell Microsoft and Keighley were desperate to have a Silksong announcement on their shows. Look at how both of them took the meager scraps they were able to get (2025 release date and a few seconds of new footage) and tried to turn them into headline announcements at their respective pressers. I'm sure they would have paid for the privilege rather than charge for it. I kind of respect Team Cherry for not giving them that honor

Yeah, the nomenclature is odd but in general usage it still refers to two distinct things, and not the general family of bottom fermented beers.

If you wanna get technical, you could separate out what people are calling lagers as pale lagers, but the distinction in practice is almost never made as opposed to ales.

The game weirdly refuses to talk about spoilers from the first two games in case you haven't played them, but then characters will just casually talk about things that completely spoil things from the first two games, it's very bizarre.

The weird efforts to do this are one of the most baffling, self-handicapping storytelling choices I've ever seen. Even in "spoiler mode" for 2 they have to dance around it before inserting the line that actually talks about it.

Is it definitively 1>2>3 would you say?

Kinda weird to go from heavily branching, to a few minor branches, to no branching whatsoever.

I gotta be real though, after Nirvana Initiative I wasn't really that interested in this series anymore and the trailers did the opposite of sell me on it.

Yeah if you were living under a rock I can understand this hitting you. But if you were even half aware of his antics for the past decade there was never a reason to even think redemption was remotely possible.

Any blow to your childhood should have already set in for this one.

Renegade interrupts are almost always good.

Renegade dialogue choices are often not good.

Although ironically the very first Renegade interrupt may be the dumbest one.

I mean I see your point, but I feel like that itch gets better scratched in ways that have little to nothing to do with the actual moral choices a game presents me.

Going on a rampage for no reason in (an older) GTA? Silly fun.

Harvesting Little Sisters because it was suggested? Not really silly or fun.

I feel like, even when the evil route has good story (KOTOR), games still almost universally do a bad job convincing you there is a logical reason to blow up a town or kick a puppy other than to see what happen.

That's one thing that's cool about BG3. They sell you on the evil. (At least for Durge.)

There's definitely value in sticking to the same browser. Not sure why you'd do different ones especially if it's Chrome on mobile.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure every time Google has sabotaged YouTube and whatnot on Firefox, they say it was a mistake or something and undo it. Like I don't believe them cause it's happened more than once but they don't stick to it.

But that's all very gleaned information on my part.

Yeah I definitely gotta just move browsers, but for right now this is easier

This worked:

1. Enter chrome://flags in chromes URL input
2. Search for Allow legacy extension manifest versions
3. Enable it and relaunch browser
4. Download the latest zip file of uBlock version from github: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases
5. Under Assets, download the chromium zip and extract it
6. Open the extension page in chrome, click the Load Unpacked button on top left side load (enable Developer Mode in the top right if it doesn't appear), then select the extracted folder.

Realistically I don't think blue shells got that many people mad in MK64 when the CPU couldn't even use them.

I'm a little behind you all- just got control back at the start of act 3. I've been enjoying the game, but I was skeptical that the story was going to pay off. Thankfully, it has been paying off. Not usually into this sort of story beat, but it's done so well. I'll save more discussion until I'm done, just wanted to pop in and give the thumbs up.

It's kind of a much better version of imo the worst plot twist of all time. I feel plenty of you probably have to know what game I mean.

But the Donkey Kong here is Donkey III Kong aka Crankys grandson (or son, depending on the source).
