Isn't that a bit much considering you never have deadlifted before? What's the difference between regular deadlift and the trap bar? Does it help with posture?

I do a job that can involve manual labor so I have an idea of what I lift sometimes. When I say lift, I don't mean weights in a gym but just picking shit up and manipulating them.

Yeah, started at two 45's, then added smaller weights.

Managed to pull 265 lbs (includes weight of bar) with effort. I might have been able to go higher but I never deadlifted before and there was nobody there so I didn't want to risk injury.

I know and I dislike that. It's alien to me.

I really annoys me how people who consider me part of their "team" act offended when I say I don't care or understand. My background is Jewish and I've had Jews get weird when I say I don't understand why groups form. We're meat. Why get philosophical. They think I feel like I'm just awkward or uncomfortable. I don't feel anything.

They reply that others won't care what I don't think I am. I reply if I end up getting murdered because I didn't "band up" then so be it? I am nothing. Flesh. So is everyone. Biological cogs. I feel zero warmth in numbers and there's no such thing as like or unlike. No adjectives. Just is.

I went through a big Titanic phase as a kid, but nowadays I'm more about warships.

Visited the Naval Museum in Annapolis last month. Entire second floor was filled with ship models. They were built by captured Frenchmen during the Napoleonic Wars. HMS Victory was there.
