I'm still bitter over Sliders, the way they swapped out the main characters and merged them into one character off screen through some stupid science experiment between seasons, and the hot goddess Kari Wuhrer switched from being hard-core special forces to super ditzy blonde because the other actress got turned into a head in a jar that you don't see for many many episodes

lol it says they're going to be implementing this by 2032. What's even the point, what a ridiculously long timeline.

That was one of my favorite games on N64. Loved the western level with the train going around, i thought that was the coolest thing in the game lol

Whoever thought the launch of 76 was a good idea definitely should be fired. But 76 is in a much better place than it was at launch (and has been for a few years now). I'd no longer call it a failure.

Maybe they'll turn starfield around too, but it's problems run pretty deep. Empty planets with identical caves and enemy base layouts and all of the loading screens going from planet to space to planet are the biggest offenders.

Yeah I hated the idea of FO76 but I'm getting into it and really enjoying it now.

I second/third/fourth the idea that Bethesda's always been overrated.

Oblivion was the last good Elder Scrolls game. After that they went the lazy route, programming fewer skills, removing any semblance of real roleplaying from their games, and relying on the community to fix their games post-launch. I've never seen a big name studio with such terrible post-release patching support, it takes them weeks if not months to released patches and they rarely seem to support their games after a year... leaving a ton of patches in there.

And they can't write a story to save their lives.

Oh man, I remember renting that game way back in the late nineties when I was very young. I don't remember much of the game, other than it being tough and I gave up early on.

Just remembered a game with similar combat mechanics but completely different theme - Hybrid Heaven. What a trip.

At my tech school, there were the "initial" barracks you lived in, which had smaller rooms and you did have a community bathroom on the floor with laundry machines and showers. The floors were broken up by gender though so the bathrooms definitely weren't co-ed.

After a while you would get moved to the nicer barracks where you had a larger room and in-room private bathroom (though you still shared it with your roommate).

Damn thought I'd be the only one to say this.

I played it with a friend and it was actually really fun because of the dumb glitches. I'll always remember that token Friday the 13th cameo too.

I'd also say launch Era Cyberpunk 2077, never experienced so many glitches in a AAA title before and the writing was trash but it was so fun to exploit and experience the idiotic things in there.

That happened to me a month ago, when I was at home with my mom and she was on her deathbed. Really freaked me out.

Is that different than Ogre 64? Is Ogre 64 even a thing?

Starfield doesn't need that same level of support though, it's a lot better than either NMS of CP2077 were at launch.

It's more polished than either of those games were at launch but it still needs a ton of support and developer input to fix and integrate a lot of the mechanics. And there's way too much reliance on radiant questing for a bethesda game.

I loved Runescape and later Puzzle Pirates and later Secret World.

I don't feel the same sense of community in any of these games (well, haven't touched Puzzle Pirates since it was in beta) and it is a real shame.

Person of Interest is a very intriguing show with a very deep plot wrapped in big network mandated crime of the week-style formatting because they were afraid people wouldn't watch it otherwise. I don't know if I'd put it on the same level as Fringe or the Expanse but it's definitely got a lot going for it.

A lot of states already register you automatically when you apply for your driver's license.

It was legitimately a fun game at launch, albeit with tons of flaws and unfinished features. The combat was fun, as was the ship building.

Ship building may have been a cool concept but ship combat was atrocious and there was zero space exploration so it made ships pointless for the most part.

Yes, I got it at launch, only got around to beating it a couple months ago and I regret wasting the time.

Thanks all, I have been shying away from Dailies since I figured I was too low level to look into it (and a lot of those events are recommended level 50, unless there's a level scaling mechanic that's poorly advertised). I will look into it more though, assuming its not like a 2 hour commitment lol.

Never played a KH game. Mixing anime with Disney characters was odd to me, even as a child.

It is a very strange premise, especially when you start off on an island with young versions of Final Fantasy characters, and there are random FF characters scattered around.

It is a federal holiday so yes, but the timing is a bit unfortunate (middle of the week).

Oof. Good luck! This build does not get key defensive abilities until very, very late. If you've got the skillz it shouldn't matter though

I remember when I played the game on PS2 I always picked sword and gave up magic, this time 20 years later I am trying with wand and gave up shield.

I forgot about it too but I actually kinda enjoyed it >_>

I didn't enjoy the original game enough to care to spend anything on a remake of it. It starts off with a cool atmosphere but it quickly becomes too repetitive to be scary or shocking.

Downloaded it, excited to see if the nostalgia holds up. I only ever played through 1 though.

Pretty much any ARPG series is better than Diablo at this point except maybe Torchlight (Torchlight 3 was pretty rough despite having some good ideas). Blizzard just aren't really innovating, the gameplay has become stale and the world design in 4 was terrible.

You see, I have an ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo, and the bottom screen comes up when you open the computer. And there was a fly on the screen because it's 3 AM and the only source of light so I decided to swat it with the hope it would stick to the swatter but instead it fell into the laptop and even with a flashlight/light on I can't see it.

Also just hoping this doesn't smell terrible when it heats up next time I play a game...

I was on there like 15 years ago and I was having fun answering questions. Then I realized probably no one would want to date some guy who answered 500 questions in two days.

I love how the show sparked so much interest in the series again. I even reinstalled Fallout 76 and started a new character because I didn't give it the full appreciation I should have the first time I tried it out.

Facebook is actually pretty good for maintaining the odd social contact. I deleted my original account many years ago but decided to reopen it just to have another channel for communicating with people.

Yes, and I had to clean them for my teacher when I was a TA. Was the only time I went into the bathrooms in HS.

Hit the 3 hour mark, it's 10 PM, probably gonna call it a day for now. Did a couple of the main missions, the writing is nothing *too* remarkable and I'm confused by the different terms (there's Stardust and Star...something and Deviants and Deviations and Discords).

Also it definitely is not in a launch state. I realized your character has spoken lines but they only activate like 5% of the time.

And I was doing a mission to investigate this lost caravan of people, I found them, and then the game just launched into a boss fight with some giant obsidian dude with an even bigger minigun. But I had no idea where he came from or what his deal was or what he did to this caravan of people - they were frozen and golden not blasted up by a chain gun.

Ran into an annoying glitch where loot/XP/objective completion messages don't appear but I'm too lazy to reload.

Explored a little bit, found this abandoned little town area with a lot of supplies, activated some rift anchor thing that's used to open the "Monolith of Greed" (whatever that is >_>). Also found... some giant spider enemies. One was a big ass lightbulb with spider legs and it exploded near me but it was the most pathetic fizziest explosion I've ever seen in a game lol

I would also like to point out I am playing on Low to keep from frying my laptop. So I'm sure it looks better... on higher settings.

I screwed up and put the "territory terminal" (that marks your build area) too close to a small slope and I couldn't close the wall on that side so I had to build a foundation slightly higher than ground level so now I've got this ugly little wall sticking up higher than everything else.

I'm a little torn but am going to keep playing because I feel there is potential here.

The first 40ish minutes is *exactly* like Control. You're in this crazy facility, stuff is suspended in the air, there are portals you teleport through and the enemies are weird humans with spotlights for heads.

It feels very much like... New World, too, though. And there's a *lot* of crafting and resource gathering. It almost feels like the equivalent of a mobile game ad where they show a fun quirky dorky puzzle and you think "that looks fun" so you download it and the puzzle is the first two minutes and the rest is generic pay-to-win "strategy" builder.

Also the world is very full. Though I did join a high population server, but like once you get dropped in there you have to build your "territory" (sort of like a CAMP in FO76), and it feels like I'm in regular ass suburbia, everyone's got territory built up already lol.

Oh and the server glitched and I lost connection in build mode and then I got trapped in build mode and had to re-log.

Turn-based: XCOM games for sure.
RTS: I have a soft spot for Rise of Nations
