Yeah, because being a total douche to impress the mentally inept is so important in life. My roommate is one of those types and it really gets old. F***ups who don't know how to do drugs in moderation, spend way too many years to get their accounting credits (ironic because he blows his money so fast), and don't know how to do anything with a girl besides lie and have sex.. getting to know them you see they're empty insecure people trying to prove themselves to everyone but gaining nothing meaningful for themselves. They just don't know how to deal with people normally and it's always some big phony narcissistic show.
It isn't very impressive.

Edit: I just found out that technically speaking read as written, I can hold a dagger of defense in the same hand as a light shield and gain it's benefit. (minor damage resist). Bro, I have some bad news for you. Sequels aren't some new thing being perpetuated "by the system". Aren't there something like 13 Star Trek movies? A lot of them were made in the 60s through the 80s, just as one example. How many Rocky movies were there? Friday the 13th?

Like, party steps through the druid portal, they wake up in an alternate reality where everything is peaceful and they're the only ones that remember the previous world in this dream land. All the NPCs we know and love are townfolk and are completely ignorant of everything going on. There's no combat or anything and afterwards the party wakes up going "whoa. what the hell was that?" AP Yi is a goddamn work of art.
So here I am laning with Ashe and letting her get the farm. Morg and Cait come bolting at us and nearly kill Ashe. So I bodyblock Morg's snare and most of the damage from Cait's peacemaker. Ashe turns around and hits her ulti, popping morg in the face. I start hitting Morg but am getting shot up by Cait... so I start meditating, tanking the damage like a boss. Ashe pincoushins Morg just as I alpha strike them both killing Morg and dropping Cait dangerously low. She escapes behind her turret with like 5% left just as I pop ignite wait for it... wait for it... DOUBLE KILL MageYi so good. -- Accel R8 (This space for rent)! |

Oh, yeah I kind of am. I decided I'd probably start with something I was more familiar with, introduce a few characters, and then at some point the characters split off and delve into the backstories of others. What I have so far takes place about 15 years before the party gets their letters from Rael.

MythWeavers is REALLY ****ing bad about this. The time limit to stay active is like five minutes. If you're on a slow connection that means you either have to attempt to save and refresh your work every 5 minutes or go through like three redirect pages to get back to where you were.

The problem with 7 was most of, if not all the character arcs resolve before the final disc of the game and just STOP getting development at that point as a result. Vincent and Yuffie's stuff are entirely optional and even then Yuffie pretty much only hangs around because "WELL THE WORLD ENDING WILL BLOW UP ALL THE MATERIA AND I LIKE MATERIA".

FF4 was the first in the series that had a cast of characters that truly felt "right".
Many of them come and go, and they all leave an impression on the player, and in the end when you assemble your final team of five you feel as if this was the true A-Team, that these were the five that can save the world.
