-Del Rio and Jericho both learned things from their EC match. I guess Leavine’s already perfect.

-It’s like the game realizes how silly a pairing of Taker and Teddy would be in their current gimmicks :(

-I was expecting the EC’s to do better, especially the one that didn’t have Leavine. Match order for this card was a booger to figure out, but I couldn’t have done much better without doing something that made no sense in-universe like having Bryan/Christian ME.

-....seriously how the hell does Bryan/Christian get a psychology ding they have 77 and 85 which I guess isn’t what I expected but still ugh

-Also expected a BIT better from Barrett/Shamrock but no big loss, as they were in the bathroom break slot anyway.

-Bryan is back down to upper midcard now wtf

-Leavine is up to upper midcard! I realize that I have spent the last month trying to mold him into something Jericho could work with a little bit, but now that I have sorta succeeded I am not sure if I should be happy.

-TAKA Michinoku will need almost a month of rest after injuring his elbow in a match with Masaaki Mochizuki.

-TNA Against All Odds was last night, and did a standup job of competing with WWE, despite the odd ME choice of RVD/Hardy going over Devon/Dinero, the lack of men’s title matches, and a 25 in the opening bout of Jesse Neal v. Rob Terry. MotN was Angle/Jarrett in the midcard. The ME scored 83, bringing the show up to a 79.


Alright, folks, it’s prize time. You may either pick the MitB lineup with restrictions (detailed below), or let me pick the MitB lineup and you pick the winner. The restrictions will be:

-No picking anybody for whom I have solid plans. That rules out Cena, Rock, Christian, Bryan, Punk, Sheamus, Taker, Miz, and Truth. You may use Jericho and Leavine, but only if you use both.
-Your first four choices must be Midcard or higher. Your fifth is allowed to be a Lower Midcarder. Your sixth is allowed to be any active wrestler. To word it differently, you’re allowed two people below Midcard, but only one of them can be an opener/jobber/woman.
-DDP counts as a Midcarder. HHH is not counted as an active wrestler.

If you pick the lineup, you’ll receive auto-half points for any qualifiers I choose to run, and if you pick the winner, you’ll receive 1/6 points for the actual MitB.

Christian is taking this match a lot more seriously than the previous month of SD, and it very much shows in his performance. He gives a barnburner of a match, but there’s no stopping Bryan right now.

Great chem, poor psych...really? Danielson and Christian can’t hack midcard-level psychology? Cryme Tyme and Leavine are carryable but these guys aren’t?

-Bryan is very excited for Wrestlemania. He’s going to let Christian pick his opponent and then cash in on the other guy, because he knows he can beat both! He’s looking forward to finally getting his WM moment and winning the grand prize!

-Lion’s Den: Shamrock v. Barrett
A somewhat disappointing outing. Barrett gets the win.

-Jericho confronts Leavine backstage! Jericho gets that Leavine doesn’t like him for whatever reason. He gets that he wants to make an impact, and actually has to commend his plan of taking out Kofi. What he doesn’t get is why Leavine would throw that all away just to be Punk’s lackey. He can handle the disrespect to himself and to the company, but to endure all that from somebody who doesn’t even respect HIMSELF? Jericho slaps the taste out of Leavine’s mouth and says he wants a match at Mania. When Leavine remains SILENT, Jericho tells him to be grateful.

-Match: Kane v. Cena
Just a plain ol’ brawl. Cena comes out on top.
Rating: 82

-Cena grabs a mic to tell HHH and Kane and everybody else to stay out of the way, because this is between him and the Rock. There’s one month left before the biggest match in WWE history, and one month left before Cena claims his place as the greatest of all time. Rock comes out, and they have a staredown. Rock smiles and turns to leave. Cena takes a cheap shot....but Rock gets the Rock Bottom!

-World Title Elimination Chamber: Sheamus © v. Taker v. Show v. Henry v. Truth v. Miz
Sheamus and Truth start. Neither gains the upper hand, and then Henry enters and takes them both out. He can’t get a pin, though, and Miz is next. Miz and Truth are able to get the upper hand and work together to eliminate Henry! Taker comes out and he’s a HOUSE ON FIRE~. He punishes Awesome Truth, but Sheamus cuts him off. Awesome Truth doubleteam Sheamus as Show enters last. Show and Taker brawl, ending with Show tackling Taker through one of the pods! Awesome Truth sense an opportunity, and hop on top of each of them, getting a double pinfall! They showboat a bit too much, though, and Taker gets the Hell’s Gate on Miz for a bit! Specifically, he gets it long enough for Sheamus to isolate Truth and toss him in the ring. Brogue Kick and Truth’s gone. Sheamus and Miz are the last men standing, and they battle back and forth for a while...but Sheamus gets the win!
