this is Nintendo's one year to shine. maybe an overreaction, but at this point I think it would take a Sony or MS bomb -- like pricing the thing way too high or making a system that would cost an impossible amount to develop for -- in order for Nintendo to really thrive. they needed to come out ahead and stay there and it looks like they'll have Pikmin and 2d Mario. great.

although.. for a pack-in, they went on a little too long. they were trying to sell that game in particular, moreso than the tech or the system. it feels like a packin game but they may try to push it as being more.

as for online - if Mario U had online, wouldn't they have said it at the conference? or Nintendoland?

- Miyamoto skit. Pikmin 3 shown - looks like Pikmin. Can use the U-pad or the wii Remote.
- Reggie. Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, Amazon Instant confirmed (kinda). No more talk about hardware or features.
- 2 U-Pads confirmed. It sounds like Nintendo made this change late since there won't be any games designed for this at e3.
- Miiverse! For a conference they've said several times is all about games, we've seen one game in 20 minutes. Miiverse accessible via PC or smartphone as well as WiiU. Sounds similar to Xbox.com or something.
- NSMB U. Miiverse integrated in the game directly. Yoshi with new powers, new floating suits, some kind of "boost mode".
- Arkham City. WB CEO onstage. ARMORED EDITION announced. Looks like the same game with a lot of U-Pad features: touchscreen, motion, new powerup modes. Nothing groundbreaking, just an enhanced port.
- Super Scribblenauts Unlimited - a new version of Scribblenauts with some kind of multiplayer mode.
- Montage: Darksiders 2, Mass Effect 3, TANK TANK TANK, Tekken Tag 2, Trine 2, Ninja Gaiden 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines. Port City on this system.
- Wii Fit U! this is not a new system.
- SiNG. Working title. Thankfully. Innovation: lyrics shown on the U-Pad instead of the screen.
- 3DS rushes in to save the day. NSMB2 looks to be heavily focused on getting coins. Releases August 19.
- Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Holiday 2012. Dual physical/digital release.
- Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon. Holiday 2012.
- 3DS montage! Mirror of Fate, Epic Mickey 3DS, Scribblenauts Unlimited (dual 3DS/Wii U? weird), Kingdom Hearts 3D.
- Wii U again. Lego City Undercover. Some kind of open world game. I've got nothing to say about this one. Coming to 3DS as well.
- Ubisoft. Just Dance 4 coming to Wii U. Yep.
- ZombiU has real gameplay now. Use the U-Pad over the screen as a scanner. Looks like the game will have some scares for you while you're doing this. I guess it's a first person shooter? Not sure. Looks okay though, better than everything else shown here besides Pikmin 3.
- Nintendo challenging Sony for montages. AC3, Rabbids game, Your Shape, Rayman Legends, some other stuff that didn't really matter. Looks like Ubisft's whole multiplatform lineup is showing up n Wii U as well.
- Nintendoland. Some kind of minigame collection with established franchises being featured. This is basically all of those tech demos from last year rolled into one. Confirmed for launch.
