you listed a good amount of mediocre games, and a bunch of games that never saw a US release
All of those games are plenty good. I could have added 30 more games or so if I wanted really mediocre stuff like Aladdin or Knights of the Round. Also most good Japan-only games have translation patches or are playable without them, so I don't see why you're complaining. Final Fight 2 and 3 is a pretty low bar, same with Mystic Quest and Super R-Type and a bunch of those others Final Fight 2 and 3 are both very good. Not necessarily on par with Streets of Rage 2, but significantly better than the original and way better than stuff like Golden Axe. Also if we're tossing Super R-Type we also have to toss a lot of the Genesis' shmups, and that's one of the few genres it genuinely rivals the SNES in. -- SubDeity wants to vote for Calvin Coolidge. Topic is kind of silly. It's not people who got scholarships or elite school admissions who get screwed over; each of those is its own reward. It's people who worked full-time or even quit school to avoid loans who get totally hosed by this.
That said, some kind of loan forgiveness is probably going to happen eventually simply because the amount of student loan debt in the economy is simply preposterous. You should get into Paradox grand strategy games. They're hyper-addictive and go on massive sales like every 3 months. Hearts of Iron 2 and Europa Universalis 3 are their best works. Some people dig Victoria II although it's not for me, and Crusader Kings 2 is apparently solid but it's new so you should just wait for the price to plunge. It's not uncommon to be able to get a year-old Paradox game for five bucks in a sale.

It isn't. His claim is that churches shouldn't have to pay for something they find morally objectionable, even though birth control pills are a totally legitimate treatment for other things and stuff like viagra is already covered.
Do you move your lips when you read? While covering Viagra may be stupid, nobody I know of has a moral objection to the pill itself. Catholics have a moral opposition to contraception and refuse to pay for it for other people. Large install bases and low development costs lead to a lot of shovelware. So, there's more shovelware for Nintendo consoles these days because their systems sell the most and are cheaper to develop for, being less technically advanced. SImilarly, there was more shovelware on older systems because making games was so much cheaper back in the day. Even a crappy 360 game costs hundreds of thousands or millions to make, whereas back in the days of Atari one or two programmers could create a crappy game in a few weeks.

I do challenge runs of games I've beaten before quite a lot, but the only example that springs to mind for first-time playthroughs is my refusal to use battle saves or reclassing in Fire Emblem 10 and Shadow Dragon.

Well, it's too bad I already bought BG2 and PT then. Tempted to grab Icewind Dale and then some other game for free, but 1. I still haven't played BG2 and PT and my backlog is enormous, and 2. This is basically just a standard 50% off sale and they have those rather frequently, so I may as well wait for Christmas when I can get any game for half off.
