I can say I've personally encouraged others NOT to buy Other M. If I didn't enjoy a game, I will tell people. Make a game I like, I'll tell them to buy it.

Mario Galaxy? Metroid Prime? HATED? Yeah right. And aside from Ulti, I hear very little bashing of Zelda.

I also feel that too many "modern" Nintendo games get unfair hate - games like Metroid Prime, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and both Super Mario Galaxies don't deserve their loud hate-bases.

Other M itself, while actually pretty problematic, falls into the same category IMO. Like I said, watching GT's review made me stare in disbelief that this game received a 2/5 from somewhere (also, ironically, Gametrailers concluded that the game should satisfy hardcore fans of the series - which I personally agree with).

fusion isn't really that bad per se to be honest, it just represents a large misstep for the series and unfortunately they seem predisposed to go more in that direction now instead of what super metroid and metroid prime were building toward.

I've only played five Metroid games - the three Primes, Fusion, and Super. Prime 1 is my favorite, followed by 2 and then 3. Fusion and Super are too far buried in the memory banks for me to really rank, but I remember not being as impressed by Super as I was expecting based on its reputation. It was a legit "game of the ever" candidate for many back then and may still be today.

So yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the series, but I really like the Primes and love Samus herself.

First cutscene was kind of interesting; not bad. I don't really mind delving into Samus's character and giving her more flaws and a backstory, but I think they could have benefited from Jennifer Hale's voice. She brought Samus to life in the Prime games and could have truly shined here. I'm not liking this voice actress at the start.

Biggest wtf so far: I just started the non-tutorial gameplay (still in the first room), and the controls are spazzing out between third and first-person mode at random. Tell me this is not a recurring problem. >_>

*Pchoooooooooooooos back in* but 1 million is very low by Zelda standards, especially compared to the Wii version's 6. Basically, only about 14% of TP players at most played the Gamecube version. That's a very small difference, and when close to 90% of your playerbase played the Wii version, you'd better believe you're a Wii game.

If you're going to call someone dumb, you should at least do the maths and not omit facts like that. Nice job bringing a completely irrelevant argument into it, by the way. I can tell that you're a keeper.

It looks hilariously awesome and ridiculous.

Anyone who thinks it looks bad probably cared way too much about MGR being "the next MGS game" which is a really dumb thing to have thought and they should feel bad.

Also those people are the reason ZOE3 will never come out. All they care about is MGS and they won't ever be satisfied with a non-MGS game from Kojima until he runs the series into the ground FF-style because he doesn't know any other way to stop making MGS games.

tbqh as a FFVII fan I feel kinda betrayed
FFVII fans want a remake for years,they even made a tech demo to "tease" FFVII fans to make it even more annoying
There is just no reason whatsoever to not remake FFVII
All the previous FF games were remaked (or at least ported with improvments) and yet they don't want to do the same with FFVII
It's been 5 years with no remakes (Final Fantasy Advance VI) with the exception of FFIV that was remaked twice recently

I don't feel betrayed by Pokemon as the series continue to be good and they keep releasing new games that are usually good
The only times I feel "betrayed" is when they announce a new game and then it's something stupid like PokePark 2 or that recently announced crossover game

Mario isn't "for sure stronger." He'd just be the board favorite if they ever met up, and deservedly so. It's much easier to ignore matches from six and eight years ago than to ignore the beating Snake gave Sephiroth two years ago. Snake won with 53%; it wasn't even close. Unfortunately for FFVII, it seems to have gotten even weaker since then, going from giving Link a respectable challenge to struggling with Pokemon. I might even give Mega Man the nod over Sephiroth at this rate. I don't think he's in that elite N9 tier anymore.

To those saying that Mario is for sure stronger than Sephiroth now, are you just ignoring what happened the last time these two met? That's a long way for Seph to fall, even if it's been 6 years.
