You know, I heard a lot of people say that the quality dipped last season. While there were some episodes I wasn't too big on, I have to say it was still a really funny show, and if looking at the impact it had on the internet, it was mostly well-received and really quotable. I'm looking forward to the new season.

Screw the starters. I didn't use one in BW, I won't use one this time.
I might just breed a Pokemon I like and trade it over early and make that my starter. I don't like using Pokemon I've used before when playing through the story, so it might help diversify things a little.

Archeops is amazing. Who gives a crap about its ability in-game when you're going to have tons of Lemonades and Revives to bring it back to full power whenever you want anyway?

I honestly never understood the attraction of Disneyland to anyone past 10 unless you have children, but then again my knowledge of it is that it's a gigantic crowd with people in mascot costumes that you take pictures with and that's it.
Theme parks >>>>>>>> amusement parks.
Riding on rollercoasters and thrill rides is fun, but excellent theming is what makes a park great.

Kid Icarus is amazing. It definitely shouldn't be counted out.
I'm mostly looking forward to upcoming releases like Kingdom Hearts, Paper Mario, and Fire Emblem. But admittedly the main reason I bought a 3DS wasn't for games that were out now, but for games I knew would eventually be on the system. I loved the DS, so I anticipated a lot of my favorite games and franchises from there to make it to the new system eventually.

Set in the late 18th century, Napoleon's story is told in Fire Emblem fashion via strategic maps and character dialogue. However, the game takes some very slight liberties with historical accuracy, such as Napoleon fighting man-eating ogres and abominable snowmen.
Sounds awesome.

Well, there technically is a new game. Everybody seems to forget this when they talk about Pokemon TCG games. Which is fair, since it's not that great, but it's weird.
From: GuessMyUserName | #074 seriously, it's why I love the N64 controller
dualshock, using the analog sticks is uncomfortable since it's in the secondary position
gcn/xbox, using dpads are uncomfortable because they're in secondary position
N64 has two placements so you can have analog in primary position for 3d games, and dpad in primary position for 2d games. so no matter what type of game you're playing, it's comfortable.
you either use d-pad and L, or control stick + Z, depending on what kind of game you're playing Agreed. A lot of people criticize the N64 controller because of its weird shape, but it really was well designed when it came to adapting from 2D games to 3D games. No matter whether or not you were playing a 3D game that needed the preciseness of a control stick, or a sidescrolling game that benefited from the reliability of a D-pad, you could hold the controller in a comfortable position either way.

Oh, I swear to God. The first post has a picture of how you hold the controller. There are almost zero games for the system that use the control stick and the D-pad/L button. You hold the middle with your left hand, and the right side with your right hand. Perfect control.
-- Okay, I rolled a 14. What's that mean? Hsu That you're a cheater. This is a 12-sided die. Chan
I can't find any position I'd consider "middle" that I can hit L and R with.
Like, I can barely hit the upper c button from a middle position. Holding the wings of it feels like a perfectly natural position, and puts my fingers exactly where they need to be.
I am not understanding all you middle people
There are like zero games that require the use of the control stick and the L button. Only games that could be controlled with the D-pad used L. Games that only used the control stick ignored L, and games that only used the D-pad ignored Z. That's how the controller was designed to work, so developers could choose what setup they liked best.
I have no idea how you could have trouble hitting the R or C buttons. You're already holding the right side of the controller with your right hand, it doesn't take herculean effort to reach those buttons.

The N64 controller was pretty cool. The whole point was that you held the middle so you could press the Z button like a gun trigger (that's why it was often called the "Z trigger"). That's what made playing games like Goldeneye and Star Fox so awesome; your fire button was an actual trigger. There are disappointingly few other controllers that feel that way.

I remember reading the review of the game in EGM before I actually got it. They had a little sidebar complaining about the mission, and advised letting go of accelerator and gliding everywhere to save fuel (keep in mind, this was way before the Greatest Hits release). Since I heard about so many people having trouble with that mission, when I eventually tried it myself, I took that advice to heart, and tried gliding.
I failed that mission so many times. No matter what path or approach I chose, I'd always run out of time. I began to suspect that the fuel gauge was really just a disguised timer, and tested it out. I was right. So I stopped trying to glide.
The first time I tried simply holding down the accelerator like normal I beat the mission. Screw EGM.

It's not like I didn't lie or hide stuff from my parents tons of times growing up, but I can't really empathize with someone who tells a kid to hide something from their mom, especially for such a poor reason.

The kid's choice is kind of irrelevant to me. You shouldn't have put him a situation like that. Even if you were trying to do something nice for him, telling him to keep secrets from his mother isn't exactly good behavior.

I discovered Happy Endings in the past year, and it was a fantastic surprise. I'd seen some commercials, but it didn't look like anything special. I was genuinely shocked by how clever and funny it was, and it's probably one of favorite currently airing comedies at the moment.

Torterra is the only good final Stage grass starter. Grass Pokemon are so disappointing, but Torterra has powerful Wood Hammers and Earthquakes to help make it fun to use.

The whole outside personal data storage thing is a blessing and a curse.
On the one hand it's great because no one has to pay for any more storage than they actually want. Finally I can get some good use out of my 1TB external hard drive.
On the other hand it's kinda user-unfriendly for Nintendo, and will definitely hinder whatever the WiiU version of WiiWare is (WiiUWareU?)
When people were talking about the lack of a big Wii U hard drive, I guess it could be problematic, but it's what I always thought would be best. I already have external drives I could use for it, and you can buy one with a small physical size with tons of GB for pretty cheap these days. I would rather get a drive I like with a lot of space than pay extra for a console that had a large amount, but still far less space than what I could get for myself.

I think it's just that if he ever bloodbended on a full moon, that would immediately make him suspicious. The only reason he got caught was because he apparently did it so much with so many witnesses that it was enough to convict him anyway.

From: MarvelousGerbil | #001 Another thing that always kind of bugged me is how Red's Poliwhirl in the manga evolved into a Polienvy with no water stone, but I guess that's probably a product of game logic not flowing into the logic of other Pokemedia.
You didn't read the Yellow chapter, did you?

Actually, I didn't really even bother with this one. I was kind of busy this week, and there was E3 grabbing all of my attention, so I ended up barely getting anything.
