"oh this is what we were doing before? Lets replicate it exactly" Like mages are intel champions for the most part. Intel turns into mana and mana regen. Oh and also auto attack damage? How much sense does that make. I think Gwindor is right at least 90% of the time with that assessment. I think there are a couple instances where the benefits of a long laning phase outweigh the team gold and innate map advantage of taking out a tower. Someone like nasus for example would rather have laning phase last 25 minutes than kill a tower in 14 just because hes destroying his opponent.

I have lost hundreds of games without letting it ruin the experience. Other people are capable of this approach as well.
The fact that the vast majority of people allow themselves to get bent out of shape doesn't mean that it is how it HAS to be or that stress is an innate part of the genre. maybe in low level LoL play before people know that certain characters NEED a high farm and some can be useful to their team without it.
And at the lowest levels of play you typically do not even have a jungler on your team so instead of 2 solos and a dual lane (with jungler ganking and such) you end up with 2 dual lanes and a solo lane and very little interaction between them. Which means 80% of the team is stuck with a lane mate and everyone things that the farm is more useful on them than anyone else. The best thing to do is to pick characters who can (a) farm well and (b) USE the farm well and to practice getting good at last hitting while you have bad allies who are foolishly trying to take it from you. Best recent example off the top of my head was when Zazi was picking up fiddlesticks. Jungle fiddle to be specific and he knew little about either how to play fiddle or how to jungle. They weren't the best games in the world but he took a lot from them. Not everyone in all of our games was happy about it but Zazi didn't let it bother him (at least not too much as far as I could tell) and it was clear that his priority was to take something good out of each of our normal games. It is made by some of the original dota creators, but imo took the genre to a really good place. It still has a relevant competitive scene (not saying dota doesn't, but LoL also does) and a ton of B8ers play. So i have seen it twice in 2D and twice in 3D (regular size and IMAX).
3D is so incredibly worth it. Unless you're one of those people who actually cannot STAND 3D effects (like you get headaches and the like) then please make an effort to see this in 3D. It looks so much better. Exactly Punnyz. I've never seen the same movie 3 times in 3 days before. And I've never been SO sure that I needed to get as many people to see this movie as possible. Not only because I know they will enjoy it but because I want this movie to be so unbelievably successful that they get Whedon and everyone else to work on the sequel as soon as possible.
