At very high difficulties it actually instantly reacts to all of your inputs (faster than humanly possible) which is why it can like instant guard break everything you do

I'm not sure if this is accurate.


It seems to me like there is more of a "probability of guard impacting" that is generally in effect, but then when they break your attack you can still break theirs and then they are less likely to break the next one. It just seems like there is ALWAYS the chance they will have the AI reflexes to break an attack, but it gets lower the more you match them.

Granted I've still had epic encounters with like 10 straight broken attacks going back/forth but as long as you are keeping up with them then eventually they let it through. Also it taught me to not always respond with a predictably quick attack once I impacted an attack. Sometimes simply pressing nothing for a split second and then the attack is enough to throw it off rhythm and that is a technique that translates well into versus humans.

Right, most of the time during whats known was the "laning phase" you do not want your lane to push.

You still want to get every last hit though so make sure you ONLY spend 1 attack per minion when possible. Let the minions fight each other and then pick them off when they are in ranged. Supposing your attacks deal 75 damage early you would wait until they have less than that much life. This causes your minions to spend more of their auto attacks on theirs and if your opponent auto attacks or nukes your wave then his minions last longer and his wave pushes. Which puts you closer to your tower which is safer.


Which brings me to another point, learn to auto attack a wave that is at your tower.


During early game a full HP ranged minion will USUALLY take 1 auto attack from you, then 1 attack from the tower, then another auto attack from you to kill it.

Melee minions typically take 2 tower hits and then 1 auto from you.


This means that even if your opponents clears your ENTIRE wave before it hurts his minions at all it is possible to pick up every CS as long as you are able to do it at your tower. Obviously if you have minions who are also attacking them it can make it more difficult to do this, but it is a very handy skill, one I use on poppy a lot. My typically solo top poppy runeset includes a TON of hp regen. Because I let my opponent push if they want to (and most do) and harass me when I pick up last hits in lane, but typically they push to the tower and I will still pick up 5 out of every 6 minions while in tower range which allows me to stay in the game in terms of income which is perfect for poppy because she really hits her stride mid to late game. (Unless she has no items, thus the precautions to make sure I can tower farm if necessary)

One of the only things I remember about this game is the fact that they take the "timed hit" system and make it completely unbearable.

EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO ATTACK. Oh you don't want to deal with all the BULL**** involved with normal attacks? Wear this accessory but it will cut your damage to useless levels.

That is literally the first thing I think of when it comes to this game. Maybe it isn't as bad as I'm remembering and it deserves another shot, but I am incredibly wary.

Wish we had that game saved then, because I had JUST come back to life and I was on my way to the inhib. We were blue. It was our top inhibitor. They were JUST about to start killing the tower. There were only 3 of them at the time because they were bad players as well and so two of them thought they didn't need to participate in the inhib slaying. I was singed. My ult was up. I was going to 1v3 them.



Granted I think we were going to lose that game eventually, but those 3 people were about to get their asses flung back at them. At least in that particular fight. I can't remember what champs exactly but I know their entire team was not pushing it and I know that I was not dead as well. The tower was probably going down and they MIGHT have taken the inhib as well at the cost of a guaranteed triple kill.

But I've refused to surrender even much worse games. It's just policy.
