From: Zachnorn | Posted: 6/30/2011 9:00:34 PM | #014 I don't want a situation where certain noms are being targeted unfairly, when there may be nothing to do with quality. I've seen some of LMS' noms denommed with other people protesting about it, because they didn't think the nom was that bad. I wouldn't want LMS' noms to be denommed because he's LMS, or for a certain subject to be denommed because they're a certain subject. If it's legitimately bad, a repeat I missed, too similar to something else, etc., then I'll delete it.

you have a habit of identifying with 'the persecuted,' regardless of whether or not the persecution is justified
From: Zachnorn | Posted: 6/30/2011 8:48:31 PM | #011 but if you want to do it twice in one topic, you should provide a small reason why. I'm not going to ask for an essay about it, so a short sentence would work if it's a decent reason.
But there's absolutely no reason to do this - it's just more work, discouraging people who want to denom stuff. Sure you could say that you're not asking for a lot - but you're not asking noms to do this. Why not? As you say, it's not asking for a lot.
By the way... Pandora's Tower shouldn't be placed on the same level as Xenoblade and Last Story >_>
I mean I enjoyed what I played of the game, though the timelimit crap really pissed me off at least once (though to be fair, I don't understand Japanese, so maybe if I did I understood it I wouldn't have gotten that time limit gameover).
Xenoblade >> The Last Story >>>>>> Pandora's Tower
I really don't see why we need to give an explanation denoming. We don't need to give an explanation on why our noms are good, why would we have to give an explanation why nominations are bad? There's no need. It's not like AoD's gonna die if you let us denom stuff.

it's funny how NoA plays Xenoblade off as something that would sell like trash, but on the flipside, NoE has been promoting it like hell since they announced it.
but yeah LtM is totally right, Xenoblade is not selling any less than 100k. Arc Rise Fantasia sold 100k. While an actual RPG for once, it get incredible backlash from reviews, and the incredibly awful VAs made it a laughing stock
*edit*
Also, Opoona was released back before the Wii became the hardcore game's focal point of hatred. ARF experienced the "Wii game who cares" syndrome and still managed 100k.
Previously, Nintendo's facebook was getting 2,000 comments a day about this. Tonight though, Nintendo's been getting 2,000 comments an hour. Fans are still raging hard
technically I wouldn't say Operation Rainfall was a failure because Operation Rainfall is still going on. They won't stop the campaign just because Nintendo says there's no plans yet.
NoE deserves the money because THEY are listening to their fans and bringing out the game. Xenoblade not selling well would just make Nintendo of America go "See? We shouldn't bother with these."

NES - 1 pretty good, 2 pretty bad, 3 bad SNES - 4 pretty good, 5 second or third best FF, 6 is the best game ever PSX - 7 pretty good, 8 pretty bad, 9 second or third best FF PS2 - haven't played 10 or 10-2 (though I own them), 11 is an MMO, 12 is pretty good PS360 - no trio released yet, though 13 is pretty bad
