One of my favorite conversations that some people miss is the one you have with Jacob if you're romancing him and then start romancing Garrus.

He calls Garrus a "cuttlebone". It's pretty funny.

Tough choice. I can't really make a decision based solely on Tali, either.

The Quarians did make a huge mistake in attacking the Geth first once they realized they were self aware. Granted, the Quarians then and the Quarians now are probably very different.

Eh, I'd probably go with the Geth. They'd got more numbers and they seem like they'd be more useful in the long run.

The ideal thing would be to try to broker some kind of truce and put the events of the Morning War to rest. Legion does imply that the Geth wish to make peace and regret killing so many Quarians in the war, even if the Quarians did start it. You just have to get the right Quarians to speak up for peace.

I'm on Horizon now, it's going pretty well.

Last night I recruited Jack, then did all of Firewalker, the Normandy crash site, and two side missions, enough to get me leveled up before going to recruit Grunt. Then I leveled up again. Grunt's mission was a cakewalk, I hit this perfect stride and just utterly destroyed everything, it was awesome.

Those three are the best to leave behind to pump up the defense value, but I don't think even the three of them can guarantee no one dies.

Really, though, as long as everyone's loyal you should be fine. It's when they're not loyal that problems arise.

Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber

Super Mario RPG
Vectorman 2
Mass Effect 2

Improved Shredder Ammo actually gets the highest bonus in the game, 80%.

But it only works on the health bar, so it's useless until you strip any protection they have. Still an insane amount of damage, though.

Tungsten Ammo with the Widow and Cloak can do insane damage to the last boss. I remember dominating the thing with that setup.

Tungsten Ammo does 70% extra damage to armor and health.

Heavy Warp Ammo does 50% more damage in general.

Warp is more versatile, but Tungsten is pretty insane on an Infiltrator with the Widow. I used it for a while.

Just wait until you can pick the shotgun from the Collector Ship. It's amazing to just run up blasting people, then once your TA knocks 'em down you take them out while they're laying there and throw your TA back up. Too good.

When I played Grunt's recruitment mission on Insanity during my first attempt at it I just ended up getting really good at curving Throw to hit people and knock them off edges. That's a great place to learn the exact distance away from the enemies you can aim and still hit them. Then it's just a matter of looking for good angles.

I'll probably respec and go with Stasis once I get squad ammo on someone so I can have an ammo power up.

I just use Warp Ammo on my Sentinel for now. I may ditch it and pick up Stasis and just leave the one point in it for locking up YMIR mechs and other tough enemies. Dunno yet. Right now my build is basically Tech Armor, Defender, Throw, Overload, and Warp Ammo. I use Throw mostly because I've gotten really good at banking it and throwing people off of cliffs.

And yeah, Tech Armor is amazing. With how much easier it makes Insanity, I almost want to make a Sentinel on Normal just to see how much easier that would be.

I think Assault Armor is generally considered to be the better evolution of TA, by the way. Bigger explosion when it goes down, and instead of having zero shields when it goes down, it restores your shields to halfway.

My favorite thing about the Sentinel is that all of the weapons on the Collector Ship are viable choices. Shotgun for Tech Armor shenanigans, Sniper Rifle to give you some real long range capability, and Assault Rifles just for general versatility.

It's really the jack of all trades class.

Just finished up recruiting Mordin, got Tech Armor and Defender both to LV3. I'm able to take a rocket to the face and only lose a little more than half my shields with Tech Armor up. So awesome. Makes me wonder how overpowered Tech Armor might be on lower difficulties.

From what I understand, you can talk to him as many times as you want. Just don't talk to him again after getting the Thunder Dragon's part of the song. That's what triggers the glitch, as it makes the game think you're still doing the quest to get the song, but you've already finished it.

You kind of have to go out of your way to even talk to him after getting the song, as there's a statue right next to the Dragon and the Goron isn't even in the same area.

Talking to him twice before getting the song doesn't cause any problems, that's what I did. And I did Lanayru first, and still didn't have any issues.

Nice, dude. That sounds like an intense battle. I gotta remember to nab all the heavy weapon upgrades and take the Cain with me on the IFF and the final mission.

My run is going pretty good, I'm like halfway through Mordin's recruitment mission now. I've finally gotten Tech Armor and Defender leveled enough to where I'm basically unkillable. By the time my Tech Armor drops I can throw it back up again and it explodes in a huge radius when it goes down and drops everyone around me to the ground. Just need to get my shotgun from the Collector Ship and I'm good to go.

Still trying to figure out exactly what other powers I want. Sentinel gets a lot of options, it's hard to pick.

I got Infamous in the mail from Gamefly today, though, so I may be playing that for a while. Too many PS3 games to catch up on.

I think Shadow Broker can be done at any time but it does have extra dialogue if you do it after the end. I think the extra dialogue might have something to do with whoever you romance, but like I said, I've never done it before the end so I'm not too sure.

Arrival, on the other hand, is definitely meant to be the bridge between ME2 and ME3.

Zaeed and Miranda make for a ridiculously strong team it seems. Her health/weapon damage boosts stack with his and he ends up doing some insane damage and survives everything thrown at him. He just took like half a clip and a rocket to the face from the YMIR mech on his mission and just strolled out of the smoke like a boss. His mission has been a cakewalk, although I've got Tech Armor higher leveled now so I'm pretty unkillable.

I'll probably use him in missions with a lot of shielded enemies since he's got Disruptor Ammo. Probably gonna go with Grunt or Mordin for missions with Vorcha/Krogan/lots of armor and maybe Thane for missions with lots of barriers.

Jack's "F*** OFF!" makes me laugh, to be honest. It's just so forceful and angry lol.

Just finished Kasumi's loyalty, the gunship was kind of a pain this early on but having the Locust early is gonna be useful.

And for me,

Garrus>Kasumi>Tali>Thane>Mordin>Legion>Grunt>Zaeed>Samara>Jack>Miranda>Jacob

Joker would be up there somewhere with Kasumi and Tali. I can't stand the human squadmates in Mass Effect for the most part. Kasumi is the only great one and Zaeed is pretty cool, but outclassed by most of the aliens. Samara is just kind of boring and so are Miranda and Jacob.

Thane never gave me trouble, it's Jacob who always dies for me.

I use Miranda a lot on Insanity simply for the health and damage bonus she gives. With my Infiltrator I like using Garrus and Thane and just sniping the crap out of everything. Although I think my favorite team with my main guy is Garrus and Kasumi.

And I thought I knew pretty much everything about this game, but I just discovered that on Kasumi's mission you can actually climb into Hock's private quarters through the balcony outside. I've never noticed it before, I always just talked to the guard and had Kasumi pretend to be his commanding officer to get him to let me in.
