Don't have any regrets about anything regarding this. I'm sure she appreciates everything you did for and with her. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do today to make it much easier. Just do some of your favorite things, and try to take your mind off of it.
When I lost my cat a few years ago that I'd had my entire life, I kept thinking to myself that it's going to be impossible to replace him, and assured myself that I didn't want to get another cat. A week later, I had two of them. I thought that it would just complicate things, but my parents insisted that I needed to get over it. Surprisingly, it actually made me feel a lot better. So I guess if I had to give any advice, it'd be to let things mull over for a bit, and then you might think about getting a new dog. When you're trying to find a way into the guy's bedroom, you can go down to the balcony where the two people are commenting how big the guy's bedroom looked and climb over the edge. When you get down there, there are three guards standing there all looking over the edge. I used Throw on the far one, ordered a Shadow Strike on the next far one, and then rifle butted the close one. And there you have three guards falling off a cliff.

And yeah, it's pretty much a poor man's Borderlands. Except I guess it's technically more expensive, so it's more a rich man's inferior Borderlands? Tali > Mordin > Kasumi is probably my top three right there.
Tali's is just awesome from story AND gameplay aspects, the dialogue options are superb, and the final choice is one of the toughest to make in the game, if you don't pass the paragon/renegade check. And the aforementioned quip from Shepard about Tali's exile. Mordin's has a similar tough decision to make at the end, but I don't find the krogan hospital to be nearly as appealing a locale as the quarian ship was. However, with no disrespect to Tali, I enjoyed debating the ethics of the genophage with Mordin a hell of a lot more than discovering what Tali's father was up to, and having to decide the fate of the quarians. Sad, but true. Kasumi's was actually kinda boring at parts, though I was pretty excited the one time you got to shove 3 mercs off a huge ledge at once. That was pretty fun. Finding the various works of art in the vault was pretty neat, too, as was the grand escape. I wasn't too big a fan of the final boss, but it was OK. Really, the big reason it's in my top 3 is the discovery of the SMG in the vault.
