I loved the gameplay in FFXII. The battles were smooth and gambits were incredibly useful for managing allies. The problems that kept the game from being excellent was the poor character development (everyone but Balthier and Ashe) and license system. Oh, and the fact that you have to buy EVERYTHING in the game(way to make the license board useless).

I don't think collecting is dumb, lots of people do it. I would never do it, because I don't enjoy it. I do understand that it is a legitimate hobby.

But I know many collectors who get a thrill out of collecting rares. Finding that rare collectable after hours and hours of searching is a huge satisfying reward. You might say collecting is a game for them.

The situation here is that this operation rainfall stuff has done a lot of marketing for Xenoblade already; right now there is pretty big hype for the game.

I can give you a guarantee though, and that is that Nintendo is going to have PR nightmare if they don't release the game.
