It was fun, but there were some issues I had with it.

The ending actually wasn't one. It changed the tone for sure, but I still found it really funny, especially with how absurd and dark it all felt.

The issues I did have involved some of their storytelling. The use of multiple PoVs was neat, but I don't think it served any real purpose. I don't recall any moments where seeing the events from a different person's perspective shed any light on the mystery. Especially because they just came right out with the source of it all when the witch showed up at the principal's house. It felt like they were trying to make things seem a lot more complicated than it actually was.

There was also a good bit of characters and moments that didn't really do anything to further the story. Like the drama with the cop and his fiance seemed completely unnecessary (and her happening to be the one to run over the principal... like, why?). I feel like the time that was spent on the multiple perspectives could have been better utilized actually fleshing out these moments and giving them more purpose. Because it just felt like superfluous drama for the sake of drama.

And what was the point of that dream with the gun in the sky? I thought it was going to be some ham-fisted metaphor about school shootings, especially since the main kid was bullied by others. But nothing after that really fit with that dark theme, so it was just a complete red-herring.

Sorry if it's all a bit overly critical. Just watched the movie on Halloween, and there were things I did like about it. The atmosphere was really good, and there was some actual good suspense throughout the early to mid portion. The script really could have used some revisions, though.

Those look really nice! How long did it take for you to make them?
Probably 30 minutes to an hour for mine. It's a design I've done a half dozen times (from one of the Halloween movies), so I've gotten pretty decent at it.

Here are some pictures of my house decorated with Halloween knick-knacks.
Looks like you had a nice setup. We didn't do a whole lot, and we had literally one trick-or-treater (part due to the rain and part due to us living in an apartment complex. Seems like you had a lot of fun, though.
Just a couple pumpkins my bf and I carved. Mine is the more traditional "scary" one, and his is a goofy animal (otter).https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/5/50529caa.jpg

Pokemon has a huge section of its "fanbase" that basically just wants to ruin it for everyone else. And by being loud and obnoxious, they tend to drastically over-represent the widespread opinions of the franchise (especially on forums like here, where there isn't a thing akin to a downvote so its easy to drown out the "regular" opinions). This is pretty common with most "popular" things (damn near everything gets hate-brigaded these days), but something like Pokemon has a disproportionate amount.

It's Pokemon, with a fun twist on the gameplay and a decent little story. You'll probably already know if you enjoy the game or not.
I've loved Pokemon since Gen 1, and I have a wide variety of opinions on each of the gens up to 7, though each has things I really enjoy. I wanted to enjoy Sword & Shield, Legends of Arceus, and Scarlett & Violet. I thought the gameplay enhancements would make up for where they were lacking. But it feels like I'm paying for a half-baked, incomplete game. I'm personally done paying for an experience that I'm going to have to force myself to get through, only to put it down and never come back to it.
I haven't picked it up yet, because I feel we've just been burned on this franchise for, like, ten years. I could list the many reasons why for each game, but it would just be a rant. I decided after playing through Scarlett that I wasn't going to buy another mainline game unless it really does seem like it'll be a step forward without three steps back.
How do you guys save up that much? I accrued about 3 weeks' worth including floating holidays (changing employer next month) and would always go through it throughout the year. I think many places will cut off your time at around 80 hours or so, so it's bizarre to me that they let you accrue that much.

It's always funny to me that people found that scene fucked up and traumatic because to me it's so over the top that I find it hilarious.
I wouldn't say that it was traumatic. It was just a very wtf moment that dragged on for a while.

This is actually a very relieving post to see, because I had read this from another topic and was genuinely worried. I lurk more than I talk, so I took it seriously.

But uh, glad that things are still going well for you, and that apparently I just missed a joke
Mario is my go-to in Mario Kart and Party. He was in original Smash Bros. as well as Brawl, but he really isn't that good in those games (or I just suck, which is possible). In Tennis Aces, I'm fond of Blooper. I don't really play a lot of other spin-offs.
Yeah, I absolutely despised the writing in that game. The beginning portrayed them as going through a more or less healthy separation, making sure to even reinforce to their kid that they still love her and it's not her fault. Then that annoying goddamn book decided that their decision is wrong, and that the key to getting them together is putting them in dangerous situations, and that they need to remember the good times they had, and communication will fix all their problems.

Mind you, communication absolutely is essential in any relationship, and I'm not disparaging that. I just think that the message and emotional manipulation are very sore spots in what could have been an otherwise enjoyable experience. And maybe I'm a bit jaded having seen many people in my life stay in toxic relationships, whether it be for their kids or their fear of being alone.

I've only seen the original and really enjoyed it. I don't know if it's worth my time watching the others - are they at least 'decent' or are they all bad?
First two sequels are decent, but feel much different than the first. The second movie is more tonally similar, but a lot more of a personal and slow moving story. The third movie starts to show Freddy in the comedic light that later sequels overdo, but still keep his intimidating aura. The third is probably the one most fans would recommend.
But yeah, love this movie. Ending does kind of soil it a bit, but it's one of the most creative horror movies ever.

I genuinely thought it was overrated. The premise felt very surreal and deep, but so much of it played like a typical action movie from what I recall.

I think it's a great film and essential viewing, but it's hard to use the word 'like' in this context.

It's the best of the 3 options, though.
I agree with this take. It was a glimpse into the horrors that had taken place, and can be hard to sit through because of it.

I always clear 5 stages with each character.
I would try to cycle through them evenly, but some levels in this game are quite difficult for Mario or Toad. So, I'd end up losing track of the count when I'd have to switch out. So, Peach probably ends up taking the lead.

When she debuted, I thought she was going to be an annoying "tough guy" asshole character, but she very quickly became one of the best characters in the entire series.

Also my dog decided my drawing arm would be the perfect sleeping spot
What can I say? I absolutely adore that game, haha

And it looks like your doggo is suggesting you change your priorities. And it should be changed to him/her.

The gen itself is pretty mid to me, but it's got a lot of good Pokemon. Your next drawing will be my favorite of the game (mostly due to Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky).

When i was a kid i thought he was the strongest

as an adult i have no idea
If Kid Buu was stronger than Buuhan, Goku wouldn't have believed that he had a chance to beat him on his own. I think it was a mistranslated or misinterpreted line that kid Buu was the most dangerous, because of how psychotic and destructive he was, not because he was the most powerful.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

In the Final specifically.
There's nothing wrong with staying friends if you are able to keep that boundary up yourself. If you find that you can't overcome the feelings and regret, you will really want to figure out what to do about that. You don't want to make things uncomfortable for her or her partner, and you don't want to hurt yourself by clinging to hope.

Not saying this to discourage you from remaining friends. Just want you to be mindful and to take care of yourself

If it's a slasher, it'd be either Michael Myers or Norman Bates.
I will reiterate my suggestion that, regardless of her, you should try tonfind work elsewhere. Having a history of employment will help you, and it might benefit you greatly to get out of that environment.

Regardless, best of luck with wherever things go!
Spellcasters won't get a lot of mileage out of their cantrips, and the first couple levels of spells won't be dealing huge sums of damage. Once you start unlocking the big AoE spells like Fireball, you'll start seeing their offensive capabilities increase. They'll also get a lot of support, CC, and battlefield control spells. So, even if they're not stacking huge amounts of damage, they will be more than carrying their weight.
It's your topic, and people have the choice whether or not to engage with what you're putting out here. So yeah, no need to apologize for asking for advice and insight.

If your workplace is making you miserable, then I'd first look into addressing that. If you're able to find work elsewhere, you can attempt to stay in contact with her and not be the source of office gossip. And who knows? Something might spring from that.

But I wouldn't advise switching your workplace for the sole purpose of seeing where this could go. Your comfort and general well-being are more important, and I would suggest this regardless of her presence.

According to this article, John Carpenter is an executive producer for it. Don't know if that means it'll be good, but hopefully it won't be in the limbo the Friday the 13th game is.
