I like it. Lucy Liu as a manic pixie dream girl was odd though.

It does grind to a complete halt when that guy explains everything over the phone

Was this actually based on an old western, or does it just have that vibe?

Yeah the dragon system is not what you want from your "become a badass dragon" video game.

And even as a kid, the shaman system felt like they just had some extra character designs they wanted to use. It wasn't interesting.

I've watched more episodes of Lone Gunmen than X-Files. X-files was too "scary" for me when I was young so I never got into it. But TLG came out right when my tween self was willing to watch those kinds of hour long shows. But I didn't even realize it was a spinoff.

I don't really buy things on Amazon unless it's from a brand and product I know (ie, no generic sneakers, just the official Nike storefront) or an Amazon basics thing for something I don't care about.

Other than the jump to being a 3D Playstation game, 3 immediately positions itself as a sequel to 1 & 2. The mine is filled with Mogus Bos and Oxs. Maybe a Rand too?

I will give you that 4 feels pretty different from 1 and 2 though.

3 is my favorite game, but 4 is better probably.

The art style is more dialed in. The dual protagonist thing is fun. Skill combos is a fun new system. And while you miss the gene system initially, having nearly endless combinations is pretty superfluous since there's usually just one or two "right" choices.
