Grodd is a weird-ass choice for what otherwise seems to be a more grounded DC show. The funny thing is I dont really care for true crime but the premise of this show intrigues me.

I started shortly before The Burning Crusade came out. The timing was perfect because IIRC I hit Outworld level within like a week of it being released. I played it extensively until Cataclysm, and quit at some point in that expansion. It was tons of fun, and I made some longstanding friends through that game. Sometimes I miss it, but I'm kinda glad to have closed that chapter at this point. There's other things to be doing.

Im generally doing very well, but I do see little cracks here and there (e.g. getting lazier with housekeeping, staying up later, procrastinating on work tasks, not feeling inspired to do art). Im not sure what would be weighing on me all that much except for the awful state of the world, but Im privileged enough to be insulated from most of that. As always, I do get lost worrying about scary what-ifs, but I like to think Ive gotten better about that over the years. Maybe I just need to work on self-discipline.

I didn't know which direction was right and which was left until 3rd grade. I wasn't directly asked about it as often as one might think, so I'd simply guess and when I guessed wrong, nobody ever thought anything of it.

Ive only seen the first season, but I enjoyed it. The plot felt kinda rushed, but the songs and humor were really good. Im looking forward to the second season.

I'd imagine it's this, plus just the basic social psychology of finding confidence in numbers. Knowing that a bunch of people are committed makes it easier for otherwise uncertain/nervous people to feel comfortable joining. Prior to my first 50501 event, I was hesitant due to fear of repercussions, but it was seeing the number of people RSVP'ing that eventually gave me the push I needed to join.
