Exactly. "All lives matter" is an innocent phrase on its surface, but it is far more loaded in reality and it might not vocally say anything against Black people, but it is hard to use innocently in context. So why not find a better phrase that is not loaded? It makes it hard to assume good faith.

Started on bumble about a month ago, got a few matches right away and went on a couple of dates. One was pretty meh and the other ghosted me afterwards.

Took a break, revamped my profile and got on tinder as well, got a bunch of matches this time and got a date lined up for this weekend.

Overall it's been a more positive experience than I was expecting based on the way people talk about it (though I imagine that varies greatly by where you are and relative attractiveness). I guess if you've been on there for more than a couple of weeks total the sort of shittiness I've gotten small doses of start to add up

I know that ghosting is normal, and as I said from the start I have no interest in trying to continue anything with her. It was her texting me a week later that I thought was weird.

Only advice I can give you is to have more respect for yourself. It's one thing to ghost someone after the first date and never speak to them again. Rude, but the other person moved on. It's another for that person to ghost you for weeks or days, to randomly pop back up and don't even acknowledge they ghosted you. Shows that person isn't all that interested in you, until they got bored.

Went on a date with a woman last week, thought it went well but then she ghosted me, only to randomly text me today asking how I'm doing (completely ignoring the past couple of texts I sent her).

When the genshin impact character Arlecchino's animations first leaked the reddit thread was full of people saying she was mewing and looksmaxxing or whatever, and it's the first time I felt just entirely lost and out of touch with the youngsters

Reading the actual thing was the final nail in the coffin for me. Up until that point I kept and open mind to the idea that maybe there was something in there that was convincing; must be, right? For there to be so many Christians.

What I found was a bunch of fake genealogy, weak justification for genocide, slavery, rape, etc, thinly veiled attempts by people in power at the time to explain how they should totally be given all the stuff that you're tributing to Yahweh, and the occasional story meant to convey some explanation as to why a particular custom exists

I was never religious but kinda halfway accepted the cultural belief in god if that makes any sense. The two main things that started me on the path to atheism were reading a children's bible when I was like, 10, and it being obvious BS and becoming aware of the existence of other religions over the next couple of years; basically I formed a reverse Pascal's wager

I've played since launch on PC and it's good!

Knowing might be my favorite terrible end of the world movie. It feels like 3 different shorts they stitched together and slathered Nic Cage over top of.

There was this mini series that aired on the history channel I think. It was called "10 ways the earth could end" or something like that. It had these really dramatic enactments of each scenario that make them feel kinda like a low budget movie, I binged the whole thing on youtube a while back.
