Lots of good stuff, even I don't remember it too well. The spirit channeling of the victim was pretty cool, IIRC.

If Edgeworth was in Phoenix's place he would have figured out it was a suicide on day 1!

Haste's Favorite Successes:
  • Well, at least I got one new track in (Grieving Womb), along with one (two) returners, as well. All my non-Kirby noms except Starting Over received a support at some point...I guess that counts for something.
  • Gravity Man, having personally failed twice to get it into contests, qualified for this one!
  • We have our first Unlimited Saga track in VGMC! Even if I didn't support it...
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2 got something in for the first time since VGMC7! Great soundtrack.


EDIT: Oh, yeah... we have our first PMD emotional theme to get into VGMC! It's not anywhere near my top choice, but that's okay.

Haste's Notable Failures:
  • My failing to show up for the mad rush at the end of noms.... I just didn't feel like doing it this year. No regrets about that, except for....
  • MAD BISCARSH's failure. (would have doubled it, but oh well)
  • NFUN thinking FFX's Challenge only plays during the Yunalesca battle, when in fact it also plays during the Seymour Flux battle.
  • My fantastic failure of my Kirby-themed day, yielding one support across five tracks!
  • Poor Assaults of Mother Cluster landing on the bubble and getting cut.... ;_; I am now 0/5 on PSO2 tracks, though one of them got in when re-nominated. But it's also a bad year for PSO... nothing got in this year.


EDIT: I forgot about Battle - f8 One Who Stands Against God's failure to get in the bracket, too.... damn.

I was pretty happy to see Challenge nominated! I played and beat FFX... about 20 years ago. Loved the game. And Challenge (I believe it's the third battle of four against Seymour) was my favorite battle theme in the game. I remember when Seymour Battle was in VGMC and I thought to myself, "The wrong Seymour battle theme is in the contest!" Years have past since Seymour Battle retired, and I honestly haven't thought about Challenge since then. So, yeah, it was a pleasant surprise to see an old forgotten favorite get nominated.

I probably wouldn't have supported it as a 2/2 this late in noms, but when Zel doubled it I decided maybe it's worth going for it...

Amazing case through and through.... until the you cross-examine the culprit. It ruined things for me the first time, but I was able to tolerate it more on a second playthrough.
