Gladiator II. I dont think Ive ever hated a movie that I actually had expectations for more.

Edit: Actually, the Last Jedi was probably even worse. I think my mind has tried to block any recollection of that abortion of a movie from my thoughts, so I didnt think of it right away.

Denethor was led into despair by Sauron because Denethor used the Minas Tirith palantir to see what was happening, but only saw what Sauron wanted him to see. Earlier stewards of Gondor had been wise enough to not try and use that palantir.

The crazy thing is that Denethor probably only did this because he was desperate to prove his worth, despite being the most capable, powerful and wise future ruler Gondor had seen in generations. All because some random outsider (who turned out to be Aragorn) showed up and upstaged him completely in almost every way in just a few years before travelling on.

Another factor, if we are arguing Russia attacking was what made Japan finally surrender, didnt Russia only seriously attack Japan after the first bomb was dropped? I had heard that Stalin was worried that the A-bombs would force Japan to surrender and wanted to make sure Russia got in on the action first and so would be in a stronger position to negotiate their own terms into Japans eventual surrender.

In that regard, the atomic bombs still helped speed up the end of the war, even if somewhat indirectly.

I am. I havent taken a day off this year (except government mandated ones, such as Canada Day). Im self employed though so that is one of the burdens that comes with the corresponding perks.

Me too. If the only way to participate in a certain event or do a certain thing is through an app I usually just wont do it.

Recently, my city has announced that they are going to eliminate physical parking kiosks where you could pay by card or coins to park downtown. In the future, you will need to use an app to pay for parking or you can buy these prepaid booklets at a couple of inconvenient locations. You rip pages out of these booklets and put them on your dash for the amount of time you need.

My immediate reaction was that I will probably just stop going downtown altogether. This is an area that my city has desperately been trying to revitalize for decades. If there are many others like me this wont help.

I enjoyed Episode 1 well enough and had high hopes for the rest of the series, but as soon as they westernized the character models I lost all interest and dropped it. I have no idea what happened after the first one.

Great series. Towa was my favorite girl through most of the series, though another girl edged her out later (Towa is still #2). I dont want to spoil anything you havent seen yet so I wont say who.

I dont think I could ever go back and replay the games but if this is your first time through them all then enjoy!

As for being good individuals, yeah they treated others like their own personal playground, but in the bubble of the show, its funny.

It took the better part of Saurons power and skill to make the One. Power (and the necessary skill to shape it) like his didnt really exist anywhere else in middle earth at the time. Saruman was probably the closest in both of these traits. He actually tried to make his own ring of power but failed spectacularly and his ring became just a hollow vanity symbol with no real power.

If only we were in a better timeline we could have had Gore then Obama then Biden then Harris. We could be on Mars already (without Musk's involvement) and Donnie would be on dancing with the stars as that one dude from the Home Alone movies that couldn't sell steaks and has a weird relationship with his own daughter.

If a food delivery guy was using the job to surveil houses to burgle later, Im probably better off having them come to my house and seeing my giant dog who will bark at them like crazy the whole time. I imagine theyd move on to easier targets.

The Hobbit was mentioned, and yeah, those movies looked fucking horrible when they came out and even worse now.

Davy Jones and Gollum probably remain the pinnacle of CGI and they are like 20 years old.
