That would be great, except I'm pretty determined not to use the Epic Store.
I enjoy being a complete leech on the Epic Store and using all of its free content and assets without contributing a cent towards its actual bottom line.
I was on team Anti-Epic too. It's not just about Tencent, or the shitty launcher, I just hate their exclusivity deals.
But
When Hitman 3 came out on Steam, after being a Epic exclusive for a full year, I questioned my Steam loyalty.
You see, Hitman 3 launched on Steam for a full price. And that was after a year that it was in Epic and had plenty of sales. In the holiday sale, the game was 50% off, and together with the Epic Copuon, you could get the base game for $20. So to see people who prefered to wait another month for the Steam release only to need to buy it for full price it was just...disgusting.
And the cherry on the top? when Hitman 3 was released on Steam for a full price....it was STILL 50% off on Epic Store
So anyone that wanted to buy Hitman 3 for Steam actually had to pay double the price...just because it's on Steam
That really broke me because I waited for it and planned for a day 1 purchase :|
Evantually bought it a month later for a 40% off but my loyalty took a huge hit

That's got nothing to do with Steam and everything to do with the publisher hoping to squeeze out as much money as they can.
I've never understood people who are vehement Steam fans. In my mind, it's just another layer of DRM.

If it's free, you're the product.I think giving away free games here is pretty strictly to get people involved enough with the platform to buy games. You don't get flooded with ads. You can't see what data collection goes on but all of these things have it.
If it's free, you're the product. This seems more like free sample marketing.

Sable is dope
It's not that I am a "fan" of Steam, but I want to support them because they've provided fantastic value. They regularly put games on massive sales and let me play fantastic games for insanely cheap prices, sometimes sub-5$ for great games. And their family share policy is more generous than I'd expect from any big sales company, letting me access tons and tons of games for free that I'd otherwise have to pay for. Not to mention their refund policy which also basically lets you try any game for 2 hours. (Plus their interface is good for having all your games easily accessible)
They made good, generous choices, so I'm happy to support them and stay 100% off Epic.
Sable is dopeOh yeah
I don't even want to post today's game
But Metacritic score is pretty good so maybe it's worth something after all
