I loved this book when I was a kid, I used to check it out of my elementary school library all the time. My favorite part was what life might look like on other planets in the solar system.

Maybe it meant nothing, but I find it so meaningful that a team of people thought to show Keith Haring to me when I was in 1st grade, when I was still obviously unaware that I was gay yet keenly aware that I was different in some way. If anything, maybe when I first rencountered his work as an adult I felt a faint resonance, a sense of familiarity with his noble outlines
Last week I saw an older guy wearing a Keith Haring shirt and had flashbacks of growing up in the 90s in New York. I went on a binge of looking up his work and what he stood for, something I never touched on in various art appreciations courses.

Same, and I'm not gonna try searching for them lol.

My elementary school was the last school in the district to get remodeled, we didn't even have AC. They got it two years after I moved to middle school. I'm sure the books they used were from the mid 80s at least.

Love the 90s CG graphics with all the drop shadows on the page. Miss those.

Unfortunately I don't remember names of any of the textbooks I used in elementary school. Would be a lost cause finding them.
Kind reminder not to defend corporations when they make dumb/anti-consumer decisions.

Is there a way to look this up reliably? I don't remember any of the names of my books :( which probably means I wouldn't even recognize the material in them anyway except for the token pencil sketch of a big breasted woman that was invariably in at least one of my issued books each year. Also now I'm remembering having to put book covers on the books to protect them.
