I always hear complaints about the Reddit downvote/upvote system but Ive never used reddit so have no first hand experience with it. I mean its not like your post disappears does it? If its just a downvote who cares? Its like when YouTube had visible likes/dislikes it had zero impact on a video to me. Is that any different than a bunch of people quoting something you say on gamefaqs to argue against it?
With enough downvotes your post gets hidden by default with a browser having to click a button to the side to unfurl the quote-chain or whatever.
Normally I wouldn't give a shit, but it does bother me if someone is answering a question legitmately but they get downvoted for no real reason or a petty reason.
Think about it this way.........lets go back in time when the original model of the nintendo DS just came out. Remember how when the GBA SP came out and it did not have a actual 3.5 audio headphone jack? When the DS came out that audio jack was added back. Anywho, lets assume that on reddit a poster wanted to actually know if the nintendo DS had that audio jack back, and someone answered "yea, its back". A bunch of trolls decided to downvote that legit answer and lie saying this answer was wrong. The answer is now hidden away.......it kind of gets your goat right? That is how I am feeling about this pain management subreddit topic I was posting in, lol.
