I mean he got booted off the easiest job in the world (literally just had to show up on set and be himself) because he was too difficult and unreliable to work with. I can't imagine anyone wants to work with him after that.

Thats why ultimately a lot of the outrage in response even if it comes from a good place(and hes not helped the situation by doubling down) kinda has rung hollow to me.

These are his genuine beliefs, airing his grudges, using his platform and power very irresponsibly to harm vulnerable members of the public and shape social attitudes.

Back in his prime the bulk of his jokes were exclusively about race (mostly African Americans) and around every single aspect of their Americanized stereotypes ramped up to 11. Nowadays it's the same exact thing except replace race with sexuality.

It's the same exact shit, with the only difference being he's not part of the marginalized group his punchlines are targeting (which still isn't all that abnormal since he did make fun of Hispanics and Asians as well) and either people are just upset that they're being made fun of in some capacity, or they have some heavy rose tinted glasses on.
It would be a lot more consistent if people just said he was always a bad comedian rather than implying he was only funny when he was making fun of black people.
