As far as mainstream bands go, they're good.
When do we know how long we can break it? Where do we go to have some?

No. "Bring me to life" is a terrible song.
Post #5 was unavailable or deleted.
Yeah they're pretty good although they're just a small chunk in the much larger Gothic rock / symphonic metal scene which has lots of great bands and IDK if evanescence is even top 5 for me in that genre

I don't like Bring Me to Life - especially because of the controversy over its recording - but everything else I heard by them were great.

My Immortal is peak tbh
Definitely not a hornypost
I dont know if I like them, nam a few of their songs
Ok kupo
Not really. There are a few songs I can listen to, and do go back to occasionally, like Bring Me to Life, but even then, I prefer the Wagakki Band version.

There are so many better female fronted bands. Amy Lee has a good voice, but there's really nothing special about the band, as a whole.

First album only heard a couple songs from the second and didnr care for it.

Remember when I bought the first album my brother gave me shit saying it was girls music
I put my heart and soul into my work and I fear I have lost my mind in the process
Yeah, I like them.

They made an orchestral album featuring essentially orchestral covers of their own songs and they redid Bring Me to Life more in line with how Amy originally intended it. It's much better than the crap they released on Fallen.

My Immortal is the only one I know I like. Heard her songs a lot I'm sure, but it was usually background music while working or driving.

Edit: I like Tourniquet too

Her voice in that is otherworldly. It's a great song.

I wasn't aware that there was a controversy over it. Do tell.

I like the two songs of their's that I remember.
Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.

Amy Lee was supposed to be the sole vocalist on the song. But given it was their first single, the record label didn't think the song having a female vocalist would be successful, so they hired a male vocalist who wasn't even in the band, and had them turn it into a duet.

Those "wake me up!" parts that are tacked on weren't meant to be in the track

Always thought they were corny. Amy Lee has a nice voice, but the rest was just yuck to me. I only know of their hit songs though, to be fair. I hated that period of rock music anyway.
Fix your hearts or die.
When I sin I sin real good.
Not really but I think Amy Lee is a good singer.

The label forced Lyric changes and forced it to be a Duet with Paul McCoy, from a band you never heard of called 12 Stones, whom Amy previously had no affiliation with, in order to boost Paul's career.

You can find the original recording off the bootleg "Not For Your Ears" but I think Amy also managed to release an official version on the Fallen rerelease. It's basically a completely different song.

The Synthesis version is more like what Amy originally intended.

It's always amazing to me just how often labels are wrong but still continue to force their own stupid ass visions on artists.

No. I saw them live once as they were opening for one of my favorite bands, and all of their songs sounded the same. Also no one cheered after thier songs, we were all there for the main show. I felt kinda bad lol.

Here's a pic from the concert.

I only took this cause one of my buddies texted me "yo what you up too?" And I sent back "you won't believe this but I'm watching Evanescence lol"
The
The Open Door is a good album and I still listen to it every once and a while.

Link this, I am curious and know so little about Evanescence I don't know where to begin.
