Do you play Pokemon X/Y with EXP. Share on or off?

I turned it off. It got annoying when my Pokemon leveled up after almost every battle. I'd rather level them up the old-fashioned way.

x/y's exp curve is so fucked that even with it off you'll still end up horribly overleveled

Pretty sure I had it on. Had like two teams of six, all at Lv100 by the end.

Never before in my life, and never since then, have I had that happen.

I love Exp.Share. Don't miss the days of grinding Pokemon the old way at all, added nothing to the experience except time.

Doesn't excuse them taking away the toggle, though. They could even add it as a cheat code to prevent anyone doing it accidentally but I guess they figure it's not worth the potential hassle.

Turned that shit off. I don't need to be outleveling the gym leaders.

Never missed it, and the game was still too easy.

Gens 1-5: Just use one good pokemon and overlevel everything. The more pokemon you try to use, the harder you make the game.
Gens 6+: Have 1 main good pokemon and a variety of back ups to cover the type spread.

Global EXP share is much more interesting. Nice to see a team full of the newest gen pokemon without grinding forever rather than Charizard with Fire Blast, Fire Spine, Flamethrower, and Slash.

The idea would be better if the NPCs actually had more than 2-3 mons.

Its a good idea, hampered by easy mode design choices elsewhere that makes it bad by virtue of overall difficulty.

No reason why every npc doesn't have a full party. And no reason why gym leaders wouldn't have a competitive party, at least later in the game. And wtf is the elite 4 even doing?

EXP Share in gen 9 doesn't even matter. XP Candy is soooooooo easy to find that leveling up is trivial
