Yeah, I kinda phased out of Yugioh once they got into XYZ summoning and synchro monsters.Rush Duels exist but they're basically a different game
It's too complicated and stupid now. Is there a version of the game that is played that is like... pre 2010? XD
Modern Yu-Gi-Oh sucks.
Modern Yu-Gi-Oh sucks.this lol

There's still viable ways to insta-win with Exodia?
and people say that Yu-gi-oh is simpler than Magic: The Gathering. MTG is just preventing the other player from doing anything for 3 turnsThat's why everyone should just play Hearthstone
When you play competitive Magic the Gathering your opponent makes you draw from your library until there's no more cards. wow. such fun.My favorite anime duel that I remember actually is when Yugi pulls some bullshit that puts his opponent's card draw engine into overdrive, forcing him to deck out.
The modern TCG is the rich kids format. Bonfire is still $90 dollars. Snake Eyes costs well over $1000, more if you want a better side deck. Master Duel is clown format because they base their banlist around not nerfing as many URs as possible.
That leaves OCG but I can't play it outside of unoffical apps, in that case I could just play goat format instead.

As someone who grew up with Yugioh since its inception, I thinks its much better where its at now. Not perfect, not even close, but its way more fun now imo.

Yugi boomersYu-Gi-Olds
Yu-Gi-Olds
Its funny because he didn't expect the duelist to have that kind of deck but somehow had a whole strategy for it. Its things like this where its clear that he's cheating somehow. I'm not even hating though because I love it. Its just hilarious.I don't think he had a whole strategy built into his deck for it? He just happened to have one card that let him take control of the mime's Revival Jam. Slifer auto attacked any minion Yugi summoned, the Jam automatically resummoned itself, and the mime had something or other that drew cards whenever the Jam died.

There was one duel in GX centered around deck-outs, to the point where the on-screen LP counter changed to a "cards remaining" counter only used in that episode.Neat. I do kind of generally forget about GX (other than the dub memes) and Zexal, so that's on me.
how the actual fuck is modern yugioh fun for people

As an aside, you can watch the first four YGO anime series for free on the official website. It's the dubs, though, so YMMV for some people.pretty sure DM until Vrains are up on crunchyroll, sub and dub with the exception of Zexal which only has the dub for some reason
Because there's literally a deck for anything you want to do.ok tru, im sure the one person who gets to play has lots of fun with that
