I don't think he had a whole strategy built into his deck for it? He just happened to have one card that let him take control of the mime's Revival Jam. Slifer auto attacked any minion Yugi summoned, the Jam automatically resummoned itself, and the mime had something or other that drew cards whenever the Jam died.
