For all the flaws that season 1 has, it's still kind of crazy that the very first episode was a Q episode specifically focused on judging humanity's moral compass when dealing with an alien conflict. It basically set the stage for the rest of the show and introduced its most significant recurring character.

I love how Riker was wowed when an apple appeared . Like that have tech every were on their ship. Why does this stand out Riker.

I think because it appeared out of nowhere with no indication it would appear? That's not Starfleet tech lol. You gotta ask for what you want and then wait as it appears in a designated area.
