It's amazing how one photo of Keaton in costume can send me from "It's probably a mistake to do this, leave the original alone" into being giddy with excitement for it.
I'm so there, Day Oalthough?

The trailer is going to be airing with Ghostbusters Frozen Empire.
I'm stupidly optimistic about Beverly Hills Cop 4.I don't see modern Hollywood as any different than it's ever been most movies have always been bad with the few good ones being the rarity. Really a sequel or remake of an old movie today scares me no more then it did in the nineties. Only difference is I was less attached to this films being remake or getting decades too late sequels.
In general, I don't trust modern Hollywood to do anything of value with older properties. Top Gun 2 is the equivalent of catching a leprechaun on Friday the 13th with a blue moon hanging overhead.

Ohara is an extremely talented actress. when i saw the funeral still, i was like SHES BACK TOO?!Minor scene, but when she dropped the accent to give Emily a pep talk in Schitt's Creek, it really fleshed out her character to me. Such a simple thing hit me right in the feels.
yeah, im ready.
BeetlejuiceBeetlejuice
Lmao of course Jenna Ortega is in this

Most movies being bad makes the good ones even better.
It's show time.

Slightly related, saw the broadway version of Beetlejuice last month and it was so fucking good. I hope they do a musical of this one too if it ends up being successful enough
So Alec Baldwin is dead?

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is such a perfect name for a sequel. Now they gotta complete the trilogy with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.Keaton looks great in the costume still after all these years, too.

If the director of this movieYou mean Tim Burton, the director of the previous movie?
I'm cautiously optimistic. Keaton, Ryder, and O'Hara give me some hope, but Tim Burton hasn't made a good movie in decades. And to be a crabby nit picker, I kinda hate the trend of trailers using a slowed down version of songs like that in a saccharine fashion.Yeah, that was about as generic as a trailer can be. It's like it checks all the boxes of movie trailer cliches.
You mean Tim Burton, the director of the previous movie?
How'd they get Tim Burton back? He literally wrote the screenplay for Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian to get out of doing a sequel. They said they won't make Beetlejuice goes to Hawaii if they do a serious Beetlejuice 2 movie
<_<

Its just awesome to see Michael Keaton still kicking ass. When I was a kid he was already on top of the world killing it in comedies like Night Shift, Mr. Mom, Johnny Dangerously, and Gung Ho. That was roughly 40 years ago. I of course loved Beetlejuice. I always had a thing for Winona Ryder so that helped. My thought exactly.
Not only has he stayed busy but hes stayed more than just relevant but in demand and hes had a lot of versatile roles. Was always one of my favorite actors. Hell hes even in one of my favorite animated movies.
But my soft spot will always be the 80s classics. Mr. Mom and Gung Ho for me. Im looking forward to this.
dont think Jeffrey Jones is coming back lol
also saw Willem Dafoe is in the movie as well. gonna be a hopeful banger with him, Keaton, and OHara.
