DC did a storyline where Green Arrow publicly accuses Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) of being racist against black people to the media.

Hal denies it, but then after talking to a black man, realizes he doesn't help them as much as white people (or aliens) and tends to immediately view them as criminals, prompting him to deal with white guilt.

This was in 1970.

Any time you look at clips of Archie Bunker on Youtube, there's an overwhelming amount of people who support what he says.

It's a combination of people who are too dumb to realize he's supposed to be a buffoon, or conservatives who are aware of that, and that the liberal writers "accidentally" made him make sense.

Mary Martin as Peter Pan. I use her as an example because her version is pretty well known, but it could be any woman in the role, as a woman has played the character from the beginning. I believe Martin wore a chest binder as well, which would be an added reason for the rubes and prudes to throw a melty.

You definitely couldn't make Blazing Saddles today. Conservatives would get too offended by how all the white supremacists are shown to be total idiots in thrall to (or being manipulated by) a rich man who doesn't give a shit about race and just plans to screw everybody over for his own personal gain, and how the main character is depicted as a smart and heroic black lawman while his sidekick is white.

Once the John Stewart version of Green Lantern was revealed, they would all throw a hissy fit over GL being a black man now instead of a white man. Probably goes for any other Marvel/DC hero that was originally a white guy but got changed to being a different race. Even if it was just a case of a different character taking up the mantle.

The Wizard of Oz. I don't just mean the Judy Garland film (though they'd probably flip their shit about that too because of how the lion acts) but the original books:

From wiki:

Ozma is the daughter of the former King Pastoria of Oz. As an infant, she was given to the witch Mombi of the North by the Wizard of Oz.
