Greetings, true believers! Welcome to the weight loss social forum, where we share our stories, tips, and encouragement for a healthier lifestyle. This is our fourth topic, and we are still going strong with our goals and achievements. If you are new here, we are glad to have you. The rules are simple: talk about your progress, your day, or anything else you want. Because we know that weight loss is not just about physical exercise, but also about mental and emotional well-being.

Together, we have lost over 200 pounds. That is a lot of weight that was holding us back from living our dreams. With each pound of fat gone, we are able to do more things, overcome more challenges, and enjoy better lives. But we also care about healthy weight loss. If we see that someone is doing something harmful, we will not hesitate to speak up. Because we care about you, and we want you to be healthy and happy. Weight is just a number on a scale. A pound is just a pound. But your well-being is what matters most.

This is a supportive place. So if you want to join the conversation, please post your comments. And if you have been here for a while, welcome back and thank you for making this place a success for so many people. We are the CE Weight Warriors .

First video for the new topic.

I was going to try to let others post before I double up. But this was really good.

Im not overweight or anything, but I just want to come in and say that eating slow is an underrated tip for weight loss.

When I was on a cut last year, I started eating a lot slower by chewing more. You will feel SO MUCH MORE satiated and eat less.

When you eat really fast, you can consume waaaay more calories. Not good if trying to lose weight.

I've heard this is super common for other people, but I actually have the opposite situation. If I shovel a bunch of stuff into my mouth really fast, I'll often immediately get full or at least feel satiated. With my current meal planning, that often means I'm force feeding those last two bites to myself. Then I have an aversion to eating anything for awhile.

Meanwhile if I eat slower, I can also eat for a much longer period of time and put more calories in there.

So, some folks might want to try either extreme and see how it goes.

Here are my starting and current stats:

Starting weight: 261 lbs
Current weight: 210 lbs (224 lbs last topic)
Weight loss: 51 lbs
Starting workout frequency: 0 days/week 3 last topic
Current workout frequency: at least 7 days Cardio/ 3 Weight Training

Goals for this month: Get out of the 200s.

My weight has been fluctuating a lot lately. One day it was 219 and the next day it was 210. I know its normal for weight to vary throughout the week, but this seems strange. Maybe I need a new scale. Last week, I went to the doctor and weighed 223. But it was cold and I was wearing a hoodie, jeans, shoes, and carrying a heavy wallet. So I dont think that was accurate. I used to dream of reaching 225 as my goal weight. I thought I would celebrate by eating meat and other treats. But when I saw that number, I felt disappointed. I realized I had already gone past that. Its crazy how your perspective can change over time. I used to look at 225 with hope, but now I look at it with so differently now.

Slow going but somewhat purposeful. I am not really dieting so much as eating better, running for cardio and calorie burn, and lifting to gain some muscle weight while losing fat. Keeping my metabolism high.

Kind of worried, I was sick when I got up so I didn't eat. And while I am feeling better now I just had a few bites of a sandwich and didn't feel like eating. I don't want to get into the habit of not eating. I am going to do 10 min cardio just to keep my record going. So I hope I feel like eating after that. I had a tea and could not even drink that.

Im the lightest Ive been in years. Granted thats not a huge difference but still. I went to the doctor recently and they had my recorded weight from my last visit which was 2021 and my weight has not changed much in those three years haha (gained 10 pounds). I was listed at 232 in 2021. Heaviest Ive ever been was 247 very briefly after a vacation. Usually am about 240-245.

Ive been on a salad binge lately since a place near me has a salad Im addicted to and its only 300 calories and its huge so Ive been getting that all the time. All I ate today was that and a bagel. I think its starting to payoff since Im down to 226 and Im about to go to sleep. May wake up down a couple more lol. Havent done any working out since my schedule is a mess so we see how long I can go with only dieting.

Weekly weigh in:
Down 2 lbs for the week. 17 lbs for the year. Losing slightly too fast at this point for my tastes. If it continues next week, I'll probably up my calories slightly.

My lifts still remain steady, but body weight exercises are easier because less body. Pants fit noticeably better. Overall awesome, but like most lifters, I have the unsubstantiated fear of instantly and forever losing all of my muscles. So I want to keep an eye on my speed of descent

Started Zepbound a few days ago. Already noticing a difference. Feeling full faster and I don't necessarily finish what's in front of me. Seems to be working as intended.

Huel Mac & Cheeze is growing on me. Once I learned the correct water amount the quality really went up. Almost out already after a week and some change. All the ready-to-drink shakes are good too but they were the most expensive products

Really need to lift tonight and walk ~6 miles but my home gym is outdoors and it's so cold
Was scared to weigh self because i had been snacking on petzels and cereal but my main meals still good. Still weigh less than the 1st weight so im satisfied.

So I've lost about 18 pounds in the last few weeks without changing any part of my diet or exercising. This is concerning.

This is quaint. My current goal is to reduce sugar. I'm gonna limit myself to prcoessed sugar a max of 3 times weekly, and will chew a piece of sugar free gum otherwise if I get a craving. I'm also putting in place an interesting rule that my partner and I will only eat deserts that we personally bake lol.
How quaint.

Well I wanted to be 5'11 at less than 200 pounds, but throughout my weight loss I've actually lost an inch in height (5'10 now), I dunno how that happens, so yeah, my current goal is to get beneath 200 pounds, I'll stop there and just maintenance the rest of my life, but if I of all people can do it, anyone can

I haven't been to the gym in 4 days and have eaten like crap and yet my belly is flatter than before >_>

guess water weight is a real thing

maybe i should stop drinking so much water while training

I would not suggest you do that. Remember water weight is just that water weight. It isn't going to harm you. And being hydrated is far more beneficial then superficial changes that come with water weight.

31 mile bike ride was easy, even with the climbing. 247lbs and about to ride 100 miles on Super Bowl Sunday

Huel is getting easier to eat but Im kind of binging now to prepare myself for the Super Bowl which for me and peers is a time to really eat and drink a lot of unhealthy things. Chicken wings, pizza and wine are my personal weakness.

probably not gonna eat or drink bad things until Sunday. My training program (basically riding when the Orlando Magic play) is consistent enough, I believe. Just gotta find time for weight lifting.
I hurt myself today in the gym. I was doing box jumps. And the last one I was doing i missed. And so now my foot is in so much pain. But I am still losing weight.

Ouch. Hopefully heals up quick. My wrist has been hurting since end of December when i think i hopefully just sprained it. Wrapping and bracing it now since it seemed to always get hurt again since its my right wrist and im right handed.

Also, i broke down and finally bought a Ninja Creami!! Excited since i have a big sweet tooth and looks simple to use for protien shakes to turn into good ice cream consistency.

Yeah ive made other alternative ice cream stuff with a blender but just too complicated or not the same. Also trying not to use xanthan gum and so much ice to make it watered down. The Creami seems like i could just put protien shakes or even chocolate milk and make a decent consistency ice cream.

I gotta get back to the gym. I lost 60 pounds last year but Ive kinda fallen off. Thankfully I havent gained anything back, Ive just been lazy
Hope rides alone
I think I am going to my class reunion this year. I have not in many years since I didn't like my body. But this year I think I am going if I can get under 200.

Didnt know people still did reunions.

Tried to buy some fairlife milk at store to have for my ninja creami tomorrow but they were all sold out lol.
Bought some other chocolate milk to try.
Ate kinda bad today but cut down on snacking in between.

Enjoying my friends' Celtic folk band. Had an Old Fashioned, an Irish Whiskey, and now two Irish ales. Also had lasagna, salad and bread. Nice to just say "fuck it " sometimes.

I did have a great lifting day today though
