I'd be down with any kind of rock revival. The current hard rock on the radio is just garbage.

Radiohead - How To Disappear
Thanks for the responses so far. This song is definitely more dream pop than shoegaze
I'm a big indie rock/alternative guy. I'm not into all the different sub genres. Like I couldn't tell you the difference between Crust Punk and Crunkcore. All the sub genres get into intricacies I don't understand or have the ability to point out.
Like this one... this sounds a bit like the band Stars, which I like, with a little less instruments. It doesn't sound much like the My Bloody Valentine songs that were linked which is band I have heard of but haven't attempted to listen to really.

they are related genres but that band doesnt even call themselves showgaze on bandcamp fwiw
I prefer Anathema, who are similar. Best song ive heard by Radiohead so far is Blow Out, i love the instrumental ending, it sounds all moody and mysterious
I like that song and band.
I love shoegaze/blackgaze. 2022 is when I started to really binge blackgaze, though. This is one of my favorite albums discovered relatively recently
Also Cocteau Twins, right? They have the noisy multilayering of guitar sounds.Kind of. More of a huge influence, along with JaMC. Put those two bands together and Shoegaze is what you get.
Speaking of, great song:

When you hear it, you gaze at your shoe and walk awayFor a long time i did think that thats why the genre was called "Shoegaze", because the music puts you in such a dreary semi sedated mental state, that you just stand there with your head hanging down gazing at your feet. But apparently its because the musicians have to interact with foot pedals so much that their spending their time playing while looking at their feet instead of at the audiance.
