Picked it up with Phantom Liberty for the first time yesterday. Was kinda worried when I started since it was laggy as hell, but after I toned down some settings to medium, it played pretty well on Steam Deck. On a whim, I'm gonna go through as a nerdy hacker girl with pistols and SMGs. Going to some dude's penthouse to steal something from his secret freezer (already forgot what it was, but I'm sure it's important).

Partying with my boys Dum Dum and Jackie and hacking cameras!! SLAMMING!!

I picked it up also but have started yet. It was on sale.
I really wanted to play BG3, but decided to go the Cyberpunk route and pick it up at a later date. Haven't really done any side activities yet, but I kinda enjoyed being on the dusty highways out of the city. Maybe I can find a way to return there...

Theres a Steam Deck preset, so why not just use that?

Im replaying it now as well. Planning to do a Netrunner this time, spending into Body for Adrenaline, Tech for the Cyberware stuff, and Intelligence for most of it honestly. Well see what I end up doing weapon wise. The upside of this build is that when its complete, nothing in the world will be closed off to me.

Body / Tech / Intelligence skill checks allow you to open doors and interact with the world. Reflex / Cool skill checks only give you extra dialogue in conversations.

I've been meaning to get back into CP2077 after the 2.1 update, but BG3 is just too good.
Face it Cloud is a gaming icon and has appered in lots of games while mario has only appeared in 2 games sunshine and 64 ~xSlashbomBx
Ahh, I didn't know there was a preset. Unless it was on by default and I tweaked stuff anyway. It runs fine now, so whatever's going on now can probably stay. I heard stuff'll need to be tweaked again when I do Phantom Liberty, though. Hopefully I'll have a max-level cybergod to import. For build and RP reasons, I'll level up strength-related stuff last. On my second character, assuming I get that far, I'll make a fugly dude who was put on this planet to smash faces.

Yeah, when someone said they already had hundreds of hours in BG3, I didn't feel disgusted...I felt jealous. That should have been, and eventually will be, me. Luckily, I've managed to avoid most spoilers for it and Cyberpunk.

Goddamn. T-Bug died, then Arasaka Sr. died, then Jackie died, then I died, then Dexter died, then Johnny (who already died) showed up. I did pay back Viktor for all his help, though...what a bro.

I've picked the game up again. Wish I could do it on a ps5 but oh well.

Anyways this scene still gets to me. One of the reasons I like being corpo. Scene feels more real knowing v has been friends with Jackie a lot longer than 6 months to a year.

Never did understand why they went that route and never explained how v came to know Jackie as a corpo. I can only assume v had to hire runners for some hush hush operations before for arasaka and just became friends.

Might do corpo background for the male playthrough. By then, I'll probably have better clothes than this t-shirt crap I've just been finding in crates and dumpsters. Gotta look the part, haha. Should try to invest in some mods, too, since I've got a few thousand Euros to burn through. Might do some side jobs before I meet the enforcer guy at the bar (Tom's Diner...they sure do love their music/album references).

Yeah but there's nothing saying that's how they met. Just he's done v a solid by keeping his mouth shut all this time

I feel like I played all day today, haha. Did a bunch of missions, met Panam and did her long-ass series of quests, and have to go...meet with my Japanese cohort over something. Might do some side missions and just explore a bit, though. Not sure if the "see what's up with Evelyn" quests are part of the DLC, though, so maybe I'll save that for later. Gotta do the parade hijinx as well.

Yeah they went out of their way to make panam seem the obvious choice. I mean when you first get a good look at her it's her ass bent over a engine....

Though that depends on your interpretation on the endings if you go with a ending that's based on who you chose romantically. Panams is more heartfelt but there is one I feel is a happier ending.

BTW if you never do a gay male on male playthroufh atleast YouTube the one gay male choice you get. The end romance scene of the quest is wild.

Game froze on a loading screen, so I had a kneejerky "oh crap, my Steam Deck is broken, wahhhhh" moment for a second when it exited and was unresponsive. Anyway, did some kind of train robbery and worked with the detective guy on a sex club case. I mostly specced for nerd stuff, but an assassin-ish character would probably do these stealth segments much faster. Can't believe I no-killed that entire Animal warehouse zone, haha.

Let's see, what else... Oh yeah, went to the voodoo mall and raised some hell. That giant gorilla fighter was a friggin' annoyance, but I had my leg upgrades, so everytime she charged, I just moon-jumped out of the way and gave her hot pistol lead.

Yeah I always thought corpo v having a friendship with Jackie made little sense. So I make up the back story they knew each other as kids but v was gifted enough (educationally) managed to rise up and get a foot in the door at Arasaka and rise up to where they got to. Later down the road needed to hire some runners for something that v couldn't do alone with and ended up reconnecting with him.

I like to think my v was a field agent too. I go the stealth and quickhacking route playing Corpo v. As I feel that could relate to them being counter intelligence foe araska

I don't remember where I read it, but I did read once that Corpo V comes from a corporate family and followed in their parents' footsteps.

The corporations do often times work with the street gangs. Maybe Corpo V had a mission that required working with the Valentinos and met Jackie through them.
Yeah, maybe. I wasn't really paying much attention to why he didn't like his other cop buddies. But, I resisted the urge to turn the mission in early (it had been sitting around since the first day when Jackie was alive) and it somehow turned out well -- knew where the columbarium was because I did the tarot stuff in one fell swoop, too.

Let's see, what else did I do today... I did the follow-up quest with the two corpo politicos who were being brainwashed by a van down by the river (???). I agreed to cover up the deets from Jefferson, but I might go and kill the perpetrators if I can get a tip on 'em. Currently doing the parade/sniper mission after sneaking in to the float warehouse.

And, oh yeah, Alt is dead and became Cortana. And they want to make me dead and put my digitized data into a new vessel...or something. On the bright side, all the Voodoo Boys who lied about helping me all perished in the metaverse, haha.

Unfortunately, that's where that plot line ends. We'll probably have to wait until Cyberpunk 2078 (or whatever they call the sequel) to find out everything going on there. Though there is a pretty strong theory that a certain character is behind all of it.

It's totally worth it, as well.

Sandy and Blades is great.

An example of Sandy shenanigans:

Got in a Capitan car chase with two bikes on my sides and a van on the rear.

Did the jumping exit from a car, triggered the Sandy at the same time, landed right on the roof of my own car.

In basically one smooth circle, I:

Threw a knife into biker 1's dome.

Mirrored it for the biker on the other side.

Swapped to a revolver, hip fired into the van driver's face.

Got off the roof, Sandy deactivated when I get in the car, kept going.

All of this happened in the time it takes a Quadra Shitbox to cross an intersection at full speed.

Looks like they buried Johnny in an oilfield landfill, lmao. I was kinda hoping I'd have to go out to that dumping ground in the sticks -- the one that stretches for miles where I got stuck wandering my first day in the area. It'd be funny if you just find a random Hefty full of his skeleton or something.

I also bought a $150K rhino truck for Johnny to use on his date with Rogue. Its acceleration is trash, but it does have a nice-sounding horn. Gonna go up to the hills and see Kerry next...after a break, 'cause the OLED is burning my corneas.

It's really fun and a beautiful layout.

I kinda like the city, but sometimes you only need to go 200 meters and need to take some weird spiraling network of turnpikes and off ramps just to get there. That part's kinda annoying. There always seems to be a side mission going down near where I am (at least within city limits), so I don't mind that too much -- mostly been doing those today to scare up funds.

The main story's been alright so far, even though I'm mostly putting it off since the Hanako (???) mission said it had a point of no return attached. Not sure if it cancels any other missions, but I mostly just started sidequesting after I saw it. Might just do it anyway since there's only so much to "help the cop lady out" and "kill gangbangers in the alley" requests. Pretty good for finding orange equipment now that I'm almost Lv40, though.

Night City is beautiful is what I meant. And yeah that part takes some getting used to, however that game has one of the best "follow this line for the best route to your destination" assists I've seen, so eventually it was just more of an annoyance while driving because you can miss your turns.

Yeah the side missions are pretty good and I was fully leveled before I was ready to reach the point you're at.

As I'm sure you've noticed you may just be running around and new missions, like the NCPD ones (I think) will pop up.

The point of no return pretty much just means that once you start the meeting, you're locked into the final mission until the credits (or you reload a save before). But after the credits it puts you back before the Hanako meeting so you can go off to do other stuff you missed or even go for a different ending.
"Meet Hanako at Embers" is a meme with the community because that mission is the big point of no return, so you're gonna be putting it off for a good long while, and you see it a lot because it always defaults back to that objective after you complete another mission.

"Meet Hanako at Embers" is a meme with the community because that mission is the big point of no return, so you're gonna be putting it off for a good long while, and you see it a lot because it always defaults back to that objective after you complete another mission.
Yeah, it's been rather annoying how it defaults to that quest over and over. More than once I've followed a GPS trail to a mission, only to find that it was the wrong mission trail! Hanako!!

The point of no return pretty much just means that once you start the meeting, you're locked into the final mission until the credits (or you reload a save before). But after the credits it puts you back before the Hanako meeting so you can go off to do other stuff you missed or even go for a different ending.
I think I finished all Silverhand's quests, so maybe I'll go try my hand now. I assume it'll include killing Smasher, the daddy strangler, plus a lot of robots, mechs, drones, and maybe a few C3P0s. Should be a nice shindig.

Night City is beautiful is what I meant. And yeah that part takes some getting used to, however that game has one of the best "follow this line for the best route to your destination" assists I've seen, so eventually it was just more of an annoyance while driving because you can miss your turns.
The problem is they only follow the roads and might ignore an easy shortcut or something. Just had one where the GPS route was some weird, twisting route, only for a stairway nearby to shave off 300-400 meters of distance. But, yeah, overall it ain't too shabby. Kinda feel something this competent is standard in GTA-styled adventures nowadays (and probably in the future, now that GTA5 had its source code leaked, lol).

Welp, beat the game. I made Johnny sacrifice himself and I became the next Afterlife girlboss, then my relationship hit the rocks during the timeskip so I decided to blow up a space station (??????) with a shotgun. Going all 2077: A Space Odyssey was not on my bucket list, lmao. Also, River somehow found contraband and wants "the right people" equipped...with mustard gas containers. Rejection can make a man do stupid things.

I think I'll start a male character for the next playthrough and do that and Phantom Liberty properly.
