I've been meaning to get back into CP2077 after the 2.1 update, but BG3 is just too good.Yeah, when someone said they already had hundreds of hours in BG3, I didn't feel disgusted...I felt jealous. That should have been, and eventually will be, me. Luckily, I've managed to avoid most spoilers for it and Cyberpunk.
Goddamn. T-Bug died, then Arasaka Sr. died, then Jackie died, then I died, then Dexter died, then Johnny (who already died) showed up. I did pay back Viktor for all his help, though...what a bro.

I don't buy people getting off-screened, though, so I'm sure T-Bug'll come back sometime. I noticed they removed her and others from my phone contacts, though. Hmm...
Never did understand why they went that route and never explained how v came to know Jackie as a corpo. I can only assume v had to hire runners for some hush hush operations before for arasaka and just became friends. It's just a storytelling device. They tell you, "Shit got reeeally bad that one time in Mexico," and just let you supply the rest using your imagination.

Oh, I was under the impression that was how they met. I might have misread it.
I feel like I played all day today, haha. Did a bunch of missions, met Panam and did her long-ass series of quests, and have to go...meet with my Japanese cohort over something. Might do some side missions and just explore a bit, though. Not sure if the "see what's up with Evelyn" quests are part of the DLC, though, so maybe I'll save that for later. Gotta do the parade hijinx as well.
PS: Panam is bae

It could be don't think they specify thoughIt's a Noodle Incident and just implies that Jackie and CorpoV have a history.

Which is an extremely odd choice when Streetkid is right there.
Yeah I always thought corpo v having a friendship with Jackie made little sense. So I make up the back story they knew each other as kids but v was gifted enough (educationally) managed to rise up and get a foot in the door at Arasaka and rise up to where they got to. Later down the road needed to hire some runners for something that v couldn't do alone with and ended up reconnecting with him.I don't remember where I read it, but I did read once that Corpo V comes from a corporate family and followed in their parents' footsteps.
I like to think my v was a field agent too. I go the stealth and quickhacking route playing Corpo v. As I feel that could relate to them being counter intelligence foe araska
I don't remember where I read it, but I did read once that Corpo V comes from a corporate family and followed in their parents' footsteps..that information hasn't been presented to me in game so yeah fuck it.
Of course, the beauty of fiction is that we can say, "Nah, fuck that," and headcanon our own stuff.
lmao
You think this cop's partner on the force died, but really, Andrew was his turtle and he interrd in memoriam. Honestly, didn't see that coming. Doesn't seem as messed up coming off the Peter Pan serial killer quest, however.
I was attempting this mission recently. Ther is a alternate outcome If you take too longIt also happens if you don't go to the Columbarium and just talk to the cops right away.
he comits suicide
all the Voodoo Boys who lied about helping me all perished in the metaverse, haha.I kill the Netwatch guy and let the VDBs win for a half hour every time and exclusively for one reason:
Let's see, what else did I do today... I did the follow-up quest with the two corpo politicos who were being brainwashed by a van down by the river (???). I agreed to cover up the deets from Jefferson, but I might go and kill the perpetrators if I can get a tip on 'em.
I kill the Netwatch guy and let the VDBs win for a half hour every time and exclusively for one reason:I...uh....actually removed them all non-lethally until I got to Placide. I really gotta hook me up with those VTM:Bloodline powers where I zip around at supersonic speeds for shotgun diplomacy.
I'm killing them all myself.
Srk700 posted...They'll pull some Manchurian Candidate stuff I'll bet.
Unfortunately, that's where that plot line ends. We'll probably have to wait until Cyberpunk 2078 (or whatever they call the sequel) to find out everything going on there. Though there is a pretty strong theory that a certain character is behind all of it.
I really gotta hook me up with those VTM:Bloodline powers where I zip around at supersonic speeds for shotgun diplomacy. That would be the Sandevistan implant
That would be the Sandevistan implantMight have to try and get that. Forget if I already have a slot free for it or naw. Maybe it'd work better on a strength-based dude build for second playthrough, where I can get up close and personal with warhammers and stuff.

The main story has a beautiful layout? Or the city? Or the side missions?
I kinda like the city, but sometimes you only need to go 200 meters and need to take some weird spiraling network of turnpikes and off ramps just to get there. That part's kinda annoying. There always seems to be a side mission going down near where I am (at least within city limits), so I don't mind that too much -- mostly been doing those today to scare up funds.
The main story's been alright so far, even though I'm mostly putting it off since the Hanako (???) mission said it had a point of no return attached. Not sure if it cancels any other missions, but I mostly just started sidequesting after I saw it. Might just do it anyway since there's only so much to "help the cop lady out" and "kill gangbangers in the alley" requests. Pretty good for finding orange equipment now that I'm almost Lv40, though.

"Meet Hanako at Embers" is a meme with the community because that mission is the big point of no return, so you're gonna be putting it off for a good long while, and you see it a lot because it always defaults back to that objective after you complete another mission.Yeah, it's been rather annoying how it defaults to that quest over and over. More than once I've followed a GPS trail to a mission, only to find that it was the wrong mission trail! Hanako!!
The point of no return pretty much just means that once you start the meeting, you're locked into the final mission until the credits (or you reload a save before). But after the credits it puts you back before the Hanako meeting so you can go off to do other stuff you missed or even go for a different ending.I think I finished all Silverhand's quests, so maybe I'll go try my hand now. I assume it'll include killing Smasher, the daddy strangler, plus a lot of robots, mechs, drones, and maybe a few C3P0s. Should be a nice shindig.
Night City is beautiful is what I meant. And yeah that part takes some getting used to, however that game has one of the best "follow this line for the best route to your destination" assists I've seen, so eventually it was just more of an annoyance while driving because you can miss your turns. The problem is they only follow the roads and might ignore an easy shortcut or something. Just had one where the GPS route was some weird, twisting route, only for a stairway nearby to shave off 300-400 meters of distance. But, yeah, overall it ain't too shabby. Kinda feel something this competent is standard in GTA-styled adventures nowadays (and probably in the future, now that GTA5 had its source code leaked, lol).
