It's the definition of a 7/10 game. The peaks with the eikon fights are fantastic and the normal bosses aren't bad either, but the downtime and the "open world" is just so fuckin' boring and bland. The quest with Midadol is some of the most egregious filler I've ever seen in a game. The crafting and gearing is fucking garbage.

It just come and go? Seems people are not interested in final fantasy series anymore.
I remember even FFXV had more discussion here, tho maybe half of them were complaining that it becomes action RPG.

Most people like some aspects but hate others. I'm part of that. An enjoyable game with some cool aspects to it but a bunch of very questionable design flaws
I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness.

It was good, but the pacing is a bit all over the place and I think it overstays its welcome. Its still a solid mid-level entry in the series

Its a disgrace...Square willingly turned Final Fantasy to something like Ashura's Wrath all for the casual audience but Balder's Gate 3 destroyed them...I wonder if they learned anything.

It's fantastic. It has some bad lows but I overall loved. Really enjoyed the characters, story and music. My god the music.

Left a really great impression on me but it can really test your patience

It was really good, with a really bad ending.

Gameplay could've had more bells and whistles to it, but overall still fun after you get more elements.
Sidequests were mostly abysmal, since they're written like FF14's MMO quests.

It's... Cinematic. It's the video game equivalent of the recent Marvel movies. Showy, flashy, and admittedly a bit fun in the moment... But it's not a game you're likely to remember or care about in even a couple months time.
