Holding office? Sure. Voting? No, let them vote.
Holding office? Sure. Voting? No, let them vote.Pretty much.
The age restriction. Sure. But taking away people's right to vote? Are you crazy? To be fair, not endorsing it. Just wanted to see the discussion, as we already know the majority here don't think they should hold office.
Shouldn't hold office, agree.
Shouldn't vote, disagree.

They have the right to vote. And they have the right to serve in office if voted in and can do the job.

once you're old enough, you should be able to vote for as long as you live, and I feel like we should make it easier for people to be registered to vote and to actually vote. Its dumb you need to register to vote at all.
as far as holding office, I feel like the maximum age someone should be is 65 after term they're serving ends.

The only felonies that should bar you from voting are crimes related to voting. For everything else, voting rights should be reinstated the moment you step out of prison.
this. you can't take away their legal right to vote. old people are still part of the population. they just shouldn't be making choices for all the people that will have to live with their choices.
yea i agree. i still don't understand why a felon isn't allowed to vote. if you want them to wait like 5 years to make sure they'll probably stay out of prison then fine but no reason someone that commits a felon as a teen and gets out after a couple years should never be allowed to vote.
