Ever since ive been able to scan my own face onto my created character in WWE/NBA 2K games ive accepted that my identity belongs to the robots now.

The only place age verification should happen, if anywhere, is at the point of sale. If a parent is fine giving their kid an M-rated game, it's not really up to the ESRB to enforce the ratings once the purchase has been made.

Reading between the lines here I'm thinking someone in the ESA (who manages the ESRB) has connections with either Yoti or Epic (more likely the latter) and are looking for a government contract to get this moving.

This is not a technology that the industry is in need of implementing, and it is well known to be faulty.

This is fucking stupid, overreaching, and does nothing to address the issues in the gaming industry. No one is worried about minors playing M rated games. No one gives a shit about that. What we want is for devs to quit segmenting fun out of games and turning them into a second job. I already don't like facial recognition because of the amount of false positives it produces. I am not going to give the gaming industry another data point for marketing.
Face it Cloud is a gaming icon and has appered in lots of games while mario has only appeared in 2 games sunshine and 64 ~xSlashbomBx

I wonder if the old UT or Quake trick of uploading a full-transparency PNG as the skin to make the head invisible would have worked. Invisible skins in PC deathmatch were like the very first iteration of "cheating" in pvp shooters.

I played doom, mortal kombat and killer instinct when I was 8. The first time I watched nudity, I was maybe 10 or 11?

I have never felt traumatized by these things.

She had (she has passed away) neotenic complex syndrome. It is an extreme developmental condition in which a person's body does not develop extremely early on (in Brooke Greenberg's, the person from the picture, case her body stopped developing when she was 1 year old). Ok? Then the parents should be the ones regulating what their kids play.

Instead of being shit parents and not caring what their kid plays they should regulate what their kid plays.

As it is there's kids who play GTA,COD and many other M rated games despite the ESRB saying the games shouldn't be played by anyone under 17.

Some parents would rather just drop their kid in front of a screen instead of actually being a parent
