If you don't work a regular Monday to Friday, then adjust it for whatever your normal work week is.

Juneteenth is Wednesday of next week, and Christmas and New Years will be on Wednesdays this year. The Fourth of July is on a Thursday this year, and Thanksgiving is always a Thursday. Labor Day, Columbus Day, and Veteran's Day are on Mondays.

Any time a holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, I take the Monday or Friday off and stretch it into a 4-day weekend. Beyond that I don't care if a holiday is on a Monday or a Friday

Generally Monday or Friday, though with Tuesdays or Thursdays I'll sometimes take a vacation day to connect them to the weekend. I slightly prefer Monday over Friday. When Monday is off, the weekend happens normally, but I get to put off going back to work by an extra day, and the following week feels surprisingly short because Friday is closer to when I start. When Friday is off, I tend to start the week knowing it'll end early, but that anticipation draws it out a bit. Either way, though, it's a long weekend and that's good.

Probably any day other than Wednesday. Depending on how they do it. For us, when a holiday is on a Monday or Friday, we get the other day off as a family. For example, if a Holiday is on Monday, the Friday before is a Family day to make a 4 day weekend. And if its on a Tuesday or Thursday, we normally also get a day before of after to still give a 4 day weekend The only problematic day is Wednesday. If they just give us two extra days off, then Id love Wednesday holidays, but AFAIK, they dont They still usually give 2, though. And it can be a nice break up for us to work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 1 more day, then have the weekend off. But it also messes with our schedules and stuff

We shut down the week of the fourth of July. 9 days off, sometimes only 8 if we work that Saturday before.

We shut down Xmas to New Years. I usually take the 23rd off, so 10 or 11 days off.

I take the three days before Thanksgiving off, another 8 or 9 day break.

I'll pre schedule the rest of my vacation time for the Friday before Monday holidays to get 4 days off, and cancel them if something else comes up.

I prefer the extra day amended to the end of the weekend, so Tuesday (my normal weekend is Sat-Mon).

The past week was good, I guess. Since the Holiday was on a Wednesday, we had Wednesday off. And Thursday was a family day, so also no work. And then Friday was Sports day, so barely work So, it was a two day weekend, followed by two works days, two more days off, a barely workday, and then a two day weekend Which isnt bad

Either Monday or Friday. If it's a Tuesday or Thursday I'll usually reserve the day next to the weekend and just make it an extra long weekend. If it's a Wednesday, I usually take the entire week off.
