My body is just weird. I never get hangovers whenever I get drunk. And I wake up early, as well Dont know why
It's tolerance, mostly. Genetics and built-up immunity go a long way.
I never really got classic hangovers (headaches, nausea, aches, etc) except on nights when I went
really
hard and didn't really get a chance to sleep it off. My tolerance was high enough to shake off most of the effects (which I always attributed to being Irish-German). For me the problem was that I'd usually feel what I'd describe as "wrung out" the next day, sort of like how you feel if you've been in the sun too long... just dehydrated and lethargically fatigued.
I didn't like feeling that way though, so that was why I started trying to rehydrate before bed. It usually prevented me from feeling that way the next day.

And here I thought I was the alcoholic
No, you still are.
I haven't had anything to drink for like 7 months. And even then it was just one can of beer at a Super Bowl party (and barely beer - it was just a Heineken). And before that I'd gone about 2 years without a drink. I'm pretty much on the wagon at this point.
My hard-partying years are behind me now. I mostly went all-out back in college and for the decade or so after (basically the 00s), but once I hit my 30s my friends and I kind of slowed down. We stopped going out to clubs, stopped having big parties - we mostly sort of fell into a rut of casual drinking occasionally and just having the big blow outs for 4th of July and New Years (and to a lesser extent Halloween).
But post-Covid we've kind of stopped doing big parties entirely, so I just rarely feel the impulse to drink at all. I was always a social drinker, and without big social occasions the appeal is mostly lost.
I've never been the sort of person who would just sit around and drink a beer (or wine, or stronger) with dinner, or while watching "the big game", or just for the hell of it. It was never really an addiction for me as much as it was social lubricant and a way to have fun with friends.
Even at my height I don't think I ever really got drunk more than a few times a month.
