There's a very, very high likelihood that a majority of them will be laid off next quarter anyway. If anything, that chance actually
increases
if the game is successful, since that yields greater growth this quarter and sets the bar higher for next quarter. That's how many corporations work: Their shareholders want indefinite growth, so whenever they have a good quarter because of a bunch of extra revenue, rather than simply accepting that the next quarter is going to be lower because that revenue spike is gone, they cut their expenses by laying off a bunch of staff and sustain that growth for a little longer. ABK has already done this multiple times. A couple years ago, they were making headlines for reporting record high profits, then a month later they turned around and laid off a couple thousand people.
