Isn't it a few months till it comes out? I know i'm gonna see it....

.....i really liked the force awakens and i hope it's as good as that

I'll watch it at some point. Doubt it'll be at the pictures though.

Yeah, same. I think it might actually be better because we will get some more answers and they won't need to introduce us to so many new characters. I really hope they handle Carrie Fisher's death tastefully, though. I would absolutely hate to see her CGI'd into the film like they did in Rogue One for Admiral Tarkin/Peter Cushing (which, by the way, was absolutely awful despite the film being really enjoyable).

I also understand that some were upset that TFA played it safe, but I think that is exactly what the series needed after the prequels. It was a nice pallet cleanser and, although it wasn't exactly an innovative story, the characters were fresh and enjoyable. I didn't see the 1:1 comparison of the trio to the original cast that I was concerned about going in.
Eventually probably maybe

Not really into Star Wars. Took me two years to see the last new one and I'm not interested at all in the one that came out most recently

It hasn't even been 2 years since The Force Awakens came out.

Sure, at least this one shouldn't be a blatant rip off.

Carrie Fisher finished all her filming before she died. The problem doesn't come til episode 9
Probably not in theaters. I have a hard time justifying buying a ticket after seeing the clusterfuck of awfulness that was TFA.

At which point she can die off-camera or be referenced as handling something somewhere else. It's a big universe.

Aye Matey!
I never got into Star Wars, so probably not.

I'm going to watch it just because I want to get the story. But I'm going to hate it.

Pretty sure Rogue One came out first.

I hope that is how they choose to do it. I actually think it would be a fitting tribute to show her Resistance funeral and the character's reactions and all that for a small scene.
Yeah, but I aint going to the theaters for it.
This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.
If you take 110% of what I say seriously then you're gonna have a bad time.
have not even seen episode 2 yet so.... no .
