Jsut read this on the PC forum. I had a few of their playstation 2 controllers but never really cared for them. Sucks they are going just because they were around for my child hood but c'est la vie.

in middle school, one of my Ps2 controllers stopped working so i bought a Blue Mad Catz controller. The Blue Mad catz Controller malfunctioned and was playing some games itself. Like without me ever doing anything, sometimes the cursor moves by itself rapidly. and sometimes it would not input certain commands when i pressed the buttons.

When I played YuGioh duelist of the roses, whenever i did something, it automatically went to my opponents turn. And in Budokai 2, it didn't respond to my button inputs.

I've had memory cards, controllers and a PSP memory stick. Almost everything they made was ****ing terrible, with the exception of their PS2 memory cards, when they were allowed to make some official stuff provided they meet the required standards. I still own two of those. Everything else they made can go straight to the bin.

they made shitty stuff but I hate to admit they were one of the most respected brands in the fighting game scene since SF4 came out. their Tournament Edition fightsticks were like, actually really good

I didn't even realize they were still in business. This is the first I've heard of them in years, after near-universal negativity toward them before they faded into obscurity. I'm amazed they lasted this long.

Other than fight sticks with Sanwa Denshi parts, their products were total garbage. I'll miss those, but it stands to reason that a company doing most things incorrectly will fail eventually in spite of some genuinely successes along the way. Look at Sega, and eventually Nintendo...

I had a little mini og Xbox controller that I really liked from mad catz.

It eventually broke (thanks halo 2)

I could never find that exact model again, and all the other ones were trash.
