Shout out to the people who don't listen to hip hop because they can't identify with the lifestyle or culture it depicts and promotes and would feel phony if they were to rap along to some lyrics they don't really understand.
In this post: People aren't allowed to listen to things that are vastly outside their world's experience, so they have no contact outside of anything other than that what they've already known.
Not saying anything about not being allowed, I'm talking about me. I'm a dude from rural America who moved to a big city and has never spent a day in the hood, and the idea of me rapping along to some gangsta shit is ridiculous.
