Anyone play the original Dark Reign back in the day? That manual was friggin' epic. Pages and pages of back story, plus a high-res picture and summary of every single unit in the game. I miss those days.
yes, in fact I probably still have the manual in my closet. I was never that impressed by the game (I think I played it after Starcraft, which was FAR superior), but I did really like the music.
Dark Reign was my first strategy game so that explains my fondness for it. Dark reign 2 was a fun follow up, bog standard strategy game stuff but absolutely gorgeous. Yeah, the music was killer. Activision had great music for all their games back then, including the mechwarrior series.
